Great video pal, I'd been putting off getting a half decent car again for a while due to lots of car thefts around Manchester. Like you say this looks to be a great product and certainly one I'll likely invest in after picking up my next car soon. Do you know if they are transferable onto your next car etc?
Hi Matt Thank you for the view and comment. I am unsure whether they are transferrable but don't see why not - however i would suspect you would need the installer to help you out big time.
Well worth doing. I'm Manchester aswell and my neighbour saw some scrotes sniffing round my car in the small hours. Likely trying to find rfid signal from my motor. Got an RFID blocker and a Ghost 2 so they can jog on 😅
Cheers for the view no comment chap. I was worried about this and so haven’t really forgotten as I’m very rarely in a rush when I get in the car 😂😂😂 Only times I’ve forgot was once when I gave it to BMW (they called me to let me know the car was stuck) and at Motech where it caught Mike out 😉😉😉
Does this device work in an anti-jacking capacity too? I.E car is running, you pull up to lights and you are forced from the vehicle is the code required on re entry to the car or only when the vehicle is started? I previously had a vehicle with a keypad/ pin... if the door was opened it would let you (or the thief) back in to the car, the car could be driven for half a mile before it would shut down and require the pin. Can the Ghost system replicate that?
If someone opens a door and pulls you out the ghost will ask for the code again whilst you are moving - no code - shuts the engine down in approx 30 seconds from memory
Ahh thanks for the reply, that is great to know! Surely with a disklok and ghost fitted the only thing I really need to worry about now is a low loader :D :D :D and if they are that dedicated... take it! @@CarMadDad
Smart.... very smart!!! I'm guessing the car isn't garaged. What did it cost if you don't mind? Did you consider vehicle tracking in addition to the factory one already fitted because all it takes is a tow truck and it's gone!
Hey dude - car is not garaged all the time as a "daily driver" but does stints inside from time to time... Also sits behind a commercial telescopic bollard! I would speak with Luke as detailed in the description below - but believe they are £399 installed... Hope that helps.
A system which in its self seems a great piece of kit... We get special effects now at the beginning, love it!! Can't blame you for protecting what you work so hard to enjoy. Excellent video. Extremely informative. 👍 learnt a lot thank you.
@@CarMadDad I did actually and realized I can simply buy a anti-key fob cloning pouch for both fobs for a whopping $18.95 USD! Saving myself hundreds of quid! With over 16,000 positive reviews! So I'm good, me-owd-mate! (Spoken in me best Cockney dialect) LOL!
Hey chap I can’t remember from memory but THINK it was £399... Hope that helps. I’m sure if you get in touch with Luke as detailed in the video and description he can give you a quote 👍
I'm not convinced BMW have managed to stop this Steven - however am happy to be wrong. I have various reports on key pouches and if these work for you then that's great.
Car Mad Dad well with the pouches we could wrap the key in tin foil or a tin box . Also fit a brake pedal Jack Lock and a Wheel Clamp . Im sure no matted what we do to protect our cars , if they want them they will take them . They could even drag the owned out of the Car and put a gun to their heads . Not sure that they would do that in the UK for a 50k car
No one will show you how to install these chap - that would then let you know how to rip it out of you needed to. I had the experience of having it installed hence the title
Car Mad Dad just a realist I’ve had an rs3 and rs4 nicked. If they want the car they will take the car. Road incidents are not the same as them responding to a break in at 3am.
I’m sorry to hear you have had a few issues with break in’s dude. We had an attempt several years ago and were fortunate enough to disturb (and nearly catch) the toe rag! Thoughts on any better security options???
You will not find anything of the sort on You Tube chap - this would only help people steal the car - defeating the point ... You know where you can take your "thumbs"
Nicely presented and explained, relaxed style. Cheers!
Cheers for the thoughts dude - legend 👊

That plate is sick!
👍
Nice solution! How long did it take to get the muscle memory of inputting the 'code' rather than just trying to start and pull away as normal :)
Cheers for the view no comment chap.

Great vid, explained, easy! Great work!
Cheers fella - appreciate the positive feedback
Great vid , did this effect your bmw warranty by Any chance ?
As far as I am aware no it didn’t.
Always worth checking - when I did - the dealership confirmed no warranty issues 👍
Thanks !

Best explanation I’ve seen so far on the Ghost 👍
Wow, thank you - glad it was helpful.

It really is - cheers for the comments chappy
what if the thieves hi-jack you and the car is idling does it cuts some time after certain kilos.
Great video
Cheers chappy ☝️✊
I need something like this in the US
Do they not have this over the pond???
@@CarMadDadNothing I could find, let’s make Ghost global !

Seems an interesting and effective solution
Cheers Howard - helps me sleep at night if nothing else ;0)

very deceptive Title. you didnt show the install process
No one will show you the install process as this would compromise the ghost 👻
I thought that BMW have manage to stop cloning of Keys ? Also we can buy a bag to put your Key in and they cant clone the key . £5 on Ebay .

That’s the name of the video Mike
Got it in one ☝️ 😆

I’m sensing some pent up frustration here Mike... Anything else you want to correct whilst your going at it? 😂
Effective until they break in and ‘convince’ you to give them the code...
And set off the alarm contacting the police 👮♂️ 👍
Car Mad Dad unless you have registered firearms in your house the police will not respond with any efficiency I’m afraid
Well aren’t you just a little ray of sunshine 🌞
Last incident we had on the road they arrived within 3 minutes... that’ll do nicely ta 👍

Came to watch an install, as indicated in the title. Thumbs down.
