what a fucking mess!! I just did my '50 GMC & masked the door the width of the rubber to prevent that mess that you guys made. I only hope that it's your own vehicle & not one that someone is paying you to mess up!!
1948 Chevy Pickups have a metal strip at the bottom to also retain the seal and it keeps the split joint at the bottom in place. But your video doesn’t show this metal strip nor do you address its installation, why not? I’ve heard that installation of the metal strip over the seal is very hard and difficult. Please advise.
Haven't heard that the strip is difficult to install. It simply screws in and secures the lip. Take a look at this video from one of our distributors. Go to the 16 min mark: ruclips.net/video/SajNpDzRTdU/видео.html
This should have been a clip on how NOT to install weather stripping! I would not be satisfied if it was my truck. Sloppy work not to mention not letting the adhesive tack up before installing.
I love these informative vids by Precision Replacement Parts. Good information without a lot of fluff.

judging by the lack of prep work on that door and the crap paint job, I'm guessing this isn't a customer's truck. At least, I hope not.

do you guys know if there a thinner seal to install in a door with tight fitting gaps?. if you does can you provide me a part#?
We only produce one style.
@@PrecisionReplacementParts ok would you tell me if the one you produce is 9/16" wide x 1/5" height and a part # to order? thanks
The old Craftsman Handi-Cuts. Got a set in my toolbox still.
Your videos have more time spreading glue than actually explaining the weather strip
What a mess you made on that door
