They surely were off the chain back in those days. The first time I went to a JSU game in 1990.One of the greatest thing happen to me.Been hooked on JSU.My uncle told me was drafted by the Vikings in 1969 out of JSU.And one of of my cousins is a doctor and she got some kind of degree from JSU.

@aatw4 Exactly! I don't know what it is about the years from 1998-2002 but every HBCU band was playing phenomenally... Like, they sounded like they were on some movie-type shyt, real talk. Those four years had the greatest bands hands-down... Bands like that only come around maybe once or twice every 50-60 years.

Another great show from the BOOM for the people who claim the band never looked and sounded great under Liddell. I think you might want to go back an check out the footage from 92-2002. His first ten years were on point.

The BOOM was on point from 98-2001. Maybe 2002. But all Liddel's bands from 92-2001 were off the chain. In general most the bands in the SWAC were decent in the 90s. I'm not sure what happen in the 2Ks. JSU and SU were somewhat close to their old form, but something really happened to schools like GSU, Valley, and Alcorn. I really don't know what happened.
