How to Change brake pads on your Polo/Vento and other cars. Switching to ATE Brake Pads on my Polo.

How and why i changed my brake pads, showcased in this video.
My brembo brake pads were squealing a little too much within the first 3k Kms, so i decided to switch to these ATE Brake pads
in the short one month that I have used these, I can tell you these are better than most performance pads out there, even on stock rotors. brake fade has not been an issue till now, bite is less than brembo or ebc but fade is non existent as well and it is polishing the rotor instead of grooving it.

I have a 1.0 tsi with s2 build and I’m on budget will a ate rotor+pad setup do the trick or do I need to save for a 288mm bbk (since you haven’t upgraded to bbk yourself on a s2)

S1, S2 don't matter much, your driving style matters and regardless of the power you're puttin down in your Polo/Vento/ameo/rapid, a 288mm bbk will be the ultimate brake upgrade, i myself will be Saving for that and these ATE pads are just for the time being.

Imho applying grease at the backplate of pads makes 0 difference. For squealing usually the pin and piston are lubed with silicone lube.
