Hallo Gertraud, leider kann ich nicht direkt auf Ihre Frage antworten. Deshalb hier als eigner Kommentar: Ich nehme Zeichenkarton, ca. 200g/m2, oder auch Aquarellpapier. Nach dem Trocknen kann ich es hinter Glas rahmen oder ich kann es auf eine Leinwand oder Malplatte aufziehen. Dazu befeuchte ich die Rückseite des Papiers nochmals mit einem feuchten Schwamm und lasse die Feuchtigkeit ca. eine halbe Stunde einziehen. In dieser Zeit saugen sich die Papierfasern wieder voll Wasser und das Papier dehnt sich aus. Dann bestreiche ich die Leinwand gleichmäßig mit Acrylbinder. Das Papier wird dann auf die Leinwand gelegt und von der Mitte aus zu den Rändern festgestrichen. Dabei ist darauf zu achten, dass alle Luftblasen zum Rand hin ausgestrichen werden. Später können noch etwa vorhandene Blasen aufgestochen und die Luft herausgedrückt werden. Beim Trocknen zieht sich das Papier wieder etwas zusammen und wird ganz glatt. Ich hoffe, ich konnte helfen! This was such a beautiful painting so I had to try to do it myself. I learnt so much from doing it. Since I,m a bit cheap I skipped the marble powder and used coffee instead and it went quite well. I had to use a lot of "binder" and white gesso since everything became a kind of coffee brown. But it worked for me. Ok my result was not as professional as Gerdas but it turned out quite well I have to say. Thanks for all your tips and trix Gerda! You're the best teacher here on youtube.

+ruth hooper "Binder" is a liquid medium that binds the color to the surface you work on. In my case I use a medium that works as a binder, varnish and also as glue. Then you can attach things to your paintings and if you use a medium that is like a varnish it will also highlight the colors in your painting and give it a nice shiny luster to the end product. There is also mediums that are less "shiny" so if you don't want that effect there are others to choose from. The medium can also be used to make the acrylic paint more liquid. Sometimes the paint can be almost pasty and hard to work with. Then I use this to make it more soft and smooth. Sure you can use water but then you break up the binding effect and the paint on your canvas or papter can start to fall off from the surface after a while. If you like you can see my result on facebook. I show most of my paintings at JPG-art. Good luck!

I have many acrylics from my mixed media passion; they are only cheap student quality but will hopefully give me the chance to get a start with your lovely videos; at least I'm confident with collage, textures etc so I'm very excited by all your gorgeous 'mixed media' art.. Beautiful! Can this be done on a regular canvas or canvas board? When you say "glaze" does that mean water mixed with the paint? Thanks!
You can do it on canvas, Paper, wood......You use glazing medium or acrylic binder for a glaze

What do you mean by a dark glaze? Is it something that can be mixed or bought?
+Susan A "dark glaze" means in this case a transparent mixture of dark Colors and medium, applied very thin.
