- In a September 2, 1987, interview with CNN's Larry King, Donald Trump says he has no interest in being president and explains why he took out an ad ripping the George H.W. Bush administration.
He said, "I don't want to be president." and became the president, interesting. I don't want to be a billionaire.

He was only 54 in this interview but looked 70 😂. Some people just look old. Joe Biden when he was in his 30s looked like he was in his 50s. I'm 35 and look 25. I thought I was crazy but it seems many other people agree, people these days look way younger for their age then they did in the past generations. Could be because of lifestyle, could be due to the lack of lead in the air from gasoline. Who knows.

Not only is this _historically_ inaccurate, I would bet my _life,_ that certain "stimulants" are the only reason he is still standing right now. The reason I am able to speculate with a reasonable degree of certainty that I am correct in this, has a lot to do with the phrase, "it takes one to know one", trust me, he is _definitely_ "one"....

We provide for them so they don't have to. So they can focus on engineering and manufacturing without having to focus on military might to defend their borders. The same goes for every other member of NATO.
And what it is designed to do is to prevent individual countries, like France, like Germany, like Japan, and like all the other smaller countries from having to try to win through military dominance: to allow them to not have to fear their neighbors. It's a pact between nations to protect each other's interests, and it's a form of civilization that has stopped this country from plunging back into World War.
We had two world wars where TENS OF MILLIONS of people died horrible deaths from gunshots, and artillery, and infection, and starvation, and sickness, and disease. IN 30 YEARS!
For perspective, 2001 was 22 years ago. Imagine if 60 million people had died in global conflict in the last 30 years.

My point is, firstly that Donald Trump here, as a failed businessman, is not qualified to talk about the money that the US might have been "losing" which is dubious anyway, knowing what we know about Donald's proven (admitted) proclivity for exaggeration and misrepresentation. All he thinks about is profit, and deals and win/lose scenarios about who can make the most money, with absolutely no understanding of why we were, and are, able to safely, with trust, engage in international trade to begin with. And it has to do with the security offered by a stable world order.
Here (and still), he's just a rich kid pretty boy, who had actually failed at all of his businesses, who thinks he knows things that he knows nothing about.
Trump is, and always has been, "the Dunning-Kruger Effect", manifesting perfect form.

And you can look at his default on his loans. And you can look at his fraudulent charitable foundation. And you can look at his near financial collapse being staved off by the publication of the Art Of The Deal, which was ghost-written by author Tony Schwartz, who has now disavowed the book, and label Trump "a psychopath who will attempt to steal the 2020 election, and have to be escorted out by the military". His words, not mine.
You can look at the creation of his myth as a businessman by playing of one on The Apprentice.
And now you can even see the extent of his fraudulent tax and value statements as revealed in the New York civil case.
In a nutshell, youcan follow the thread of his entire career, which has been highly documented, and if you do a better job than the media did back then, you can see past the good looks, and you can see past the bravado, and you can see past the makeup, and the mythos, and you can see the real man, which which is now become the most dangerous man in the world. You can look at all up. No lie.
And once you do that. And you come back to this interview, and others that he's done. And then you look at his political statements over the us, even just starting with his insistence that Obama wasn't born in the United States, you will suddenly see him with clear eyes. And you'll notice, I haven't even gotten up to the debacle of his presidency, or the 2020 election, or January 6th, or Mar-a-Lago classified documents case, or the 91 felony counts against him.
But once you have seen all of that, and you have a clear vision of who the man really is. You realize that he doesn't love america. He doesn't love you. He doesn't love me. He doesn't represent any ideal. He's a man who represents only himself and that also has been documented.
Don't tell me, this man doesn't love and i mean LOVE his country this man did make President and from day one people have not given him a chance...sorry i like this man.

I wonder if Trump are just saying shit as a campaign strategy that is not only cost-free but also to skyrocket his attention. Philippines had recently elected a similarly foul mouthed mayor named Duterte as president. Duterte is not as rich as Trump, he lives a simple life and his political party lacks clout (as if political parties in Philippines were ever relevant) but I think his PR strategy was masterful in gaining attention as he doesn't have much campaign funds in contrast to his rivals. Duterte insulted a dead nun, said fuck you to the pope (now he wants to apologise after winning the election) and he claims he will jetski and plant the Philippine flag in disputed islands in South China Sea.
Trump does have money to campaign but he is a nobody in the GOP establishment and to the public at large. I suspect he is just saying controversial things to get public attention and he may flip-flop similar to Duterte who had also flip-flopped with controversial things he had said. Donald Trump does not change his opinions based on what is trending. He is consistent and like him or not, he deserves respect. I believe he accomplished more in 4 years, even handicapped by fake media and corrupt politicians, than any modern day President and maybe any President. America needs people like him in politics.
