The Genius of Minecraft Manhunt. In this documentary, I tell the story of Minecraft Manhunt and how Dream made it one of the most successful Minecraft series in the history of the game. Despite the fact PvP, parkour and clutching has existed in the game for years, it was Manhunt where I kept saying "You can do that in Minecraft?!".
And in a stream, Dream said he had to keep thinking outside the box and go off the beaten path to beat the hunters: trap them in the Nether roof, fly in a boat, crush George to death with minecarts, send lit TNT through the portal, make a trap out of moss. The Ender Dragon perch he did is something only one of the five hunters, who are Minecraft veterans, knew about and most videos on the subject have no more than 5-digit views, he has to understand this game inside and out to keep pulling this stuff.

Evan: A child, walks up to the candy store slowly as he imagines himself eating the candy, he imagines eating all of it. After a long journey from his home to the store 2 blocks away, he finally made it. The child can now rest.

another thing about manhunts are the insane tricks and/or clutches that dream performs every manhunt, they are always different and mindblowing enticing the veiwer to watch what other crazy things can unfold.
Minecraft manhunt is actually really smart now that you think about it, and it’s manages to pull a huge audience

The way he provides depth and admiration in his recounts, accompanied with the amazing visuals and stunning audio truly provides these content creators with the justice they deserve. RUclips is so much more than a social media platform, its a community. And although there may be clickbait and rubbish videos, its content like this that truly allows you to sit back and smile.

It's so forced editing though, it's just off putting if you keep in mind what you're watching and what kind of music is being used, completely surreal. Very obviously marketed for children

Manhunt is not just a game, *it's an emotion*
The fact that he doesn't have face cam makes everything better as we will focus on his plays, not on his reaction. Also, as a speedrunner needs to concentrate on whats happening in the game, you can't interact (with audiences) on camera, all you can do is FOCUS and delivering the best of yours.

Honestly my man Evan's storytelling is like prime moments Zhongli. I swear to god he can even comentate the peeling of a potato and still make it interesting! Amazing video man, keep up that kind of good work. You seriously gotta be a good reason the dream smp lore stayed relevant to this day!
The fact that one of the best players in the world does seemingly impossible stunts also helps a lot to keep people engaged.
Unknown tricks and secret techniques are frequently used in episodes, things every player could do, but few actually can.
This leaves an awesome legacy for players that can replicate this, but also serves as an inspiration to other players and hone their skills and learn about the game. Familiar things in creative ways.
Can I just say, the way you recreated all of those scenes is incredible.

Evan, about the rules of manhunt you mentioned, Dream and the hunters “broke” all of them during manhunts. I remember Dream making another portal, the hunters destroying the end portal, and them using instant harming 2 potions. I’m pretty sure the rule of manhunt is that you can do anything to win, but you can only do it once per manhunt. Pretty sure that would be the fair rule which I think already exists.
They only add the rules after they come into question and are deemed as unfair, then after that match they are made illegal, it doesn't apply retrospectively. You can hear them talking about adding rules occasionally in the post video videos

The Intro is probably the best use of that song I have ever seen
Bad: A strategic big brother
Sapnap: The slightly younger brother that acts like the leader and dose his own thing
Ant: the middle child that is very helpful but often gets ignored.
Sam: the oldest brother yet he dosent boss the others around and dose what is best for them.
George: the youngest who can be a bit too confident at times but mostly likes to stay with the group and goes along with the plans

I love the video, I imagine that Manhunt isn't just a game, but an alternative to the fight with time. Each time the manhunt ends, there is another timeline that starts and everything's all over again. It's just an endless loop with infinite amount of starts and ends, of progress and fall, of victory and failure. And it's all just to not let one person kill the greatest monster in the universe - the Ender Dragon. Now that you can see a Manhunt in my eyes, dear viewer, we'll talk about your taxes. Are you paying up? Anyways, as I said the Manhunt itself is an amazing journey for both players and viewers. It keeps everyone in amazement, shock and all other different emotions. Also did you know this video was sponsored by Monster Legends? But back to reality, keep up the great work Evan because all your videos are class and are awesome to watch from first seconds to literal end of it. And you somehow give extra info that I have not known about in your videos. I like that they don't throw a bunch of crazy side bits into it. Like, I legitimately feel like there's a point in this, because when you attach too many random modifiers, it removes the skill quotient of the hunt.
