I don't know much about Giant Rooks, but about AMK. As you asked for covers: Toxic, Can't Get You Out Of My Head, Roxanne (< i love this one) and there are some more. But they are more known in Germany with their germans songs like "Pocahontas", "Oft gefragt", "Marie", "Ausgehen", etc.

The song is a cover of Suzanne Vega's Tom's Diner (1987).
This is a collaboration of two German bands: In the first room AnnenMayKantereit are playing and Henning May (deep raspy voice, May pronounced like "my") is their singer. And in the second room Giant Rooks are playing, Frederik Rabe is their singer. A little later AnnenMayKantereit join them. AMK does mostly German songs, Henning can also sing without that rasp, his voice is amazing, but I like Frederiks voice even more. Giant Rooks do English songs, even though they are Germans as well. One reason why I love Frederiks voice is their cover of Life On Mars (David Bowie): ruclips.net/video/slIG7Aes7DM/видео.html. I don't mean to take anything away from the 1st guy, he is great but man, man what a wonderful kick-in from the heavy WHa-BaM!!! Wish he sang more english tunes and yes JAZZY soul ripping songs. Great jam!!! n i c e jam very!

Both of these bands are really creative & professional, but needless to say the second singer, AMK:s Henning May, steals the spotlight in this one with his unexpected vocals. I actually found them through another cover, Can't get you out of my head with another band the Parcels, but this one is a viral hit. Not gonna lie, AnnenMayKantereit has since then become my favorite band & I got into studying German because of them. They have so many great originals, but I'd recommend also a few of their covers, like Come togerther by Beatles or Mercedes Benz by Janis Joplin.
I got into AMK at Rock am Ring a few years ago. It's probably the biggest open air fest in Germany. And the tent next to me included a 10,000Watt PA System which was nothing compared to the tent on the other side of me with a 20,000Watt PASystem. After a day of getting hammered, you get woken up at 6am by some horrid German Schlager Musik .... don't ask ...... at 20,000 watts and 10,000 watts of oompa music. Anyway the rest of the time was regular renditions of Pocahontas from AMK, which just fitted beautifully to the madness that is RamR.
Reminds me of festivals like Knockengorroch or Doune the Rabbit Hole where you get lost on the wsy to the bar and end up transfixed by what you think is just a bunch of folks jammin' but they are both competitively amazing and generous.
It always looks to me that Freddy (high voice) tries to duck away from Henning's onslaught of voice😂! Yeah, he really has that voice, but he can turn the gravel off if he wants to!
