I just love that this song is being re recorded by bands more than 40 years on, what a wonderful compliment to the late great Benjamin Orr , Ric Ocasek and The Cars, thank you Clint Curtis, warmest regards from Tasmania, Tia M
Really nice interpretation of that Cars classic. I especially love the Lead Guitar backing of the choral refrain: "I guess you're just what I needed..." that Lead riff is fresh and alive. Thanks, guys.
I just heard this song on the radio earlier today and it brought an avalanche of memories (80s' kid here) with it. Thank you for the faithful rendition. Great job!
Ah yeah! The Cars , absolutely fantastic band. They were all fantastic musicians. You and your friends do this so well Clint. Thanks for sharing it with us all 👏👏👏👏👌
Awesome buddy ye guys got to do a van halen tune tribute to Eddie somebody get me a doctor would be nice and also you giving cathedral a go on guitar lol
Put a band together and come over to N Ireland. We love your music. Vivian Campbell played at our wee club. P. S your equally good at singing as a musician. Some more covers please. 🎸
Did you guys intentionally left out the lead line underneath the main riff? Amazing cover by the ways! The guitar sounded awesome recreating the synthesizer line
We played it all live, so no overdubbing. I played the synths on guitar using the Line 6 Helix, so there may be some parts missing from the Cars recording.
@@ClintCurtis Awesome cover! Any chance you would share the settings for the synth patch? We are fixing to add this one to our set list and that would really help. Thanks

Haha Im loving the keyboard sound from the guitar, you totally nailed it. Brillant cover guys. Always good to hear a Ben Orr song.
Why didn’t you just use a keyboard
Actually it is Ric's song but Ben sang it (which you probably meant) ;)
Good job. Mr. Rick Beato is a reason why we got in to that song after featuring it for his “What Makes This Song Great?” series
wow
Great cover.
Bobby and Rick hit like from heaven!
Great job. ESP drum from 2/4 to 1/3 back to 2/4 most people don’t get that. The cars were way better than most people thought!!!
Muy buena versión!
Esa canción y esa banda merecen homenajes de este tamaño.
I kinda lose my mind, yeah...

Great job, would have been great to see the other guys give some background vocal support
Great job guys!! Ben & Ric would be proud.

Great job. I love the Cars. I also love my ductless A/C unit like you have on the back wall.
Glad I came across your group. Enjoyed this very much. Lead vocal and instruments were spot on. I did miss the backup vocals. Keep rockin

Interesting that you changed the rhythm guitar of the chorus ?
Thumbs way up though !!

It's a synth like setting on the Line 6 Helix.

The dude on Bass never moved a fret. Still Awesome Guys !
Hollo Clint please solo the song ,my heart will go on
One of the few times I prefer a cover to the original. I gotta ask, HOW were you able to replicate the sound of the keyboard on the guitar???
That's from the Line6 Helix LT
👏👏👍😊
Like the guitar change up chords.... In chorus.
sweet cover! viewer from the Caribbean.
what effect is that you used on the outto lead????
Put a band together and come over to N Ireland. We love your music. Vivian Campbell played at our wee club. P. S your equally good at singing as a musician. Some more covers please. 🎸
Great cover!! Great everything, I just wish you would've made the vocals BIGGER. You have the chops, it's in the mix. More reverb too....
Did you guys intentionally left out the lead line underneath the main riff? Amazing cover by the ways! The guitar sounded awesome recreating the synthesizer line

@@ClintCurtis Hey sounds awesome!! Could you send me that Helix patch for the synth and guitar tone? that sounds incredible!
@@ClintCurtis Awesome cover! Any chance you would share the settings for the synth patch? We are fixing to add this one to our set list and that would really help. Thanks
What pedal did you use for the keyboard? Would love to buy one myself!
All in the Helix LT
Btw What's the Bands Name?
Is that bobcat on vocals?
playing cars without a piano is sort of a sin, but great cover!
Fantastic job on the music. Video editor needs to chill out.
The singer sounds like streeheart....do some streetheart.
Performing the best song Bryan Adams never wrote.
Only mistake was drummer starting hi hat too soon at the beginning of the song. Great job though!
Annoying camera work
So much nuance missed by the bass. Too bad.
Awesome cover ...
Btw , What's your Bands Name...Clint? Curious
