Here's a little bit of lore for the game and the backstory of the toys, basically Playtime Co. Started this thing called The Bigger Bodies Initiative. In which they would take someone, and transfer their consciousness and organs into the body of a giant toy. As another comment said, they also had their own onsite orphanage, they would put these orphans through tests at the game station (location in chapter 2) and then would assemble a list of the best candidates for The Bigger Bodies Initiative (The purple cat in the music video is actually an orphan named Theodore Grambell.) They had performed this procedure on multiple people, essentially turning them into giant workers that barely remembered their past before their procedure. One of the first experiments, Experiment 1006 (The Prototype) Essentially gathered all the toys and planned a massive rebellion against the workers that abused them. On August 8th 1995, at 11AM. They started attacking, they killed everyone "The guilty, the innocent, it didn't matter" (As Poppy said in chapter 3). The toys called this massacre, The Hour of Joy. Poppy Playtime takes place 10 years after The Hour of Joy. You (a former employee of Playtime Co,) return to the factory in search of the truth about what happened to your co-workers. And you have to defend yourself against the toys, that have been left alone in the depths of the factory since it's downfall. Hope this helps! But it felt good because this chapter was a big heavy hitter compared to the others because of the amount of new information we were given but I do have some basics that might help the song make more sense for those who care to know. If not cool the song was good stand alone… OKAY! So the song seems to be singing from the pov of our main baddie Catnap and the young children/smiling critters (creepy smiling toys). This makes sense due to the fact that the chapter picks up with us about to get disposed of by Catnap but we survive and try to make our way to PLAYCARE! The onsite orphanage of the to factory. Our mission there is to 💀 Catnap so that we have a shot at getting to the Prototype (the GOD that the song was alluding to). We face challenges like those other toys shown throughout the MV, Catnap’s red smoke that causes us to see illusions and make us sleepy, and we get more information as to the fates of the other toys. They never wanted this to happen but it was either follow the Prototype’s orders or else you would be tortured and or 💀 because that’s what happens to heretics. This whole chapter seemed very cult like because you can see the shrine that Catnap makes for the Prototype. Also seeing all the toys follow in tandem so they can survive is just sad. Because many of them are actually human children/adult souls and body trapped within these toys. Now! The hour of joy mentioned is the day that every toy decided we drop the act and 💀 everyone and everything inside the factory to get revenge upon the factory but in the end it was senseless slaughter and now as the player, we and some few characters are uncovering the truth of what happened and are now trying to stop the madness from continuing hopefully ending the terror that happened for good. I personally think the song was from the pov of one of the workers, talking about if they hadn't done the things they did, how the children have eachother, as though the person speaking isn't a child, which Catnap is a child. Or maybe from multiple pov's.

Dogday is one of Catnap's sole surviving victims after The Hour of Joy, an event where all the toys went rouge and killed everyone in the factory years prior to the game. He is not evil, and actually wants the player to stop the madness and escape. Unfortunately, though, he dies shortly after the player finds him.

And so he left hi- nah im kidding, he Brought himself in along with Theo. The Scientists found this astounding that he would Sacrifice his freedom, for Theodore. so in order to save theo, they turned him into CatNap. so CatNap Followed 1006 Around like a lost puppy, And Catnap Serves him as a God and All the Heretics who don't worship 1006 Get Killed. And at the end of Chapter three Catnap didn't Follow 1006's Plans, which were to Kill YOU, he Killed Theo/Catnap." End of Story.
