I really enjoyed myself with the Iron Druid series till about book ish. Basically once the love interest was introduced it started going downhill for me.
I've added the Chronicles of Amber to my list. It sounds so interesting!

I've owned The Invisible Library for almost a decade now, and I still haven't read it. It's good to know you enjoyed it. Will definitely move to my priority tbr.
I think you'll like the invisible library series. Its really a funny, bonkers ride. I read the whole series within a year which is unheard of in my world. I really enjoyed the 1st Rhapsody trilogy. I can't remember if I read on, but I really remember a lot of it and read it a long time ago since I'm also a child of the 80s. Great idea to attack those series dust bunnies.

haha yeah anytime I see a young lil teen or college aged kid calling stuff from the 90s "vintage" I have to do a double-take and then I'm like... well yeah, it was like 25+ years ago I guess... 🤣
this is a great idea. I'm more surprised these days when a book is not apart of a series. it sometimes feels like they all are, or part of a interconnected series.

I love the Alex Verus series! It takes a few books to get going properly (I know it's annoying when people say that) but imo it has been so worth it and the writing got a lot better! Very interesting magic, character dynamics and moral dilemmas. Don't wanna change your mind of course, just leaving this here for anyone who's interested

@@JashanaC she's such a great character. I also love the smaller male character she's with. I can't remember what name he's using when you are, so I'm being vague to avoid accidental spoilers. I'm sure you know who I mean though and he is one of my favourite characters
Good to know with Rhapsody. I picked up a used copy on @Shelle's Space recommendation. I hope it's one I'll enjoy. Also, yay for the Invisible Library! I had such fun with the series and hardly hear anyone talk about it.
Omg I don't even want to confront myself with the number of series I have on my TBR lol. Really fun project, I am glad you found a few that you want to prioritise. I started a “complete series unread” shelf and that’s 216 books and then I also started one for like waiting for series completion and that’s 100 books long so YIKES

I was literally holding my breath until you got to Rhapsody 🫣 It’s one of my favourite books. Mind you, I am also an elder millennial and read around the time it came out so it might be a favourite for nostalgic purpose.
