I'm taking a speech class online with very few examples to pull from and zero lecture videos. This just took all of the anxiety out of this class! Thank you!

I've seen and heard this all before. But not like this!
Wow, Comm Studies, this is amazing. I'm so used to seeing good videos, by others, with a number of steps and the points covered - with some limp examples. But your presentation has that ka-pow punch to it. It does not just list the elements of the speech. It says what they are used for, why it matters and how to do it.
First class. Thank you so much for posting.

What I learned summarized: You need to capture the audience with an attention-grabbing introduction, arguably the most important part of your speech. You need to let the audience know you’re credible through experience or research. You must explain how your topic is relevant to the audience. As far as the content of the speech, must be structured sort of like an essay. It must be presented though a thesis with preview points, then the body to elaborate on the points. Organize your body and points with transitions. In the conclusion wrap up by restating theses and points and leave a lasting impression with your audience.

This professor is much more helpful and understandable when explaining this. No offense for my Comm studies professor, he is more distracted if we ever make any single noise in his class, even if we cough or sneeze, drop a pen on the ground, when he hears any phones ring or vibrate, sees any bow their heads down or even look away, he will literally stop the whole class and spend more time lecturing whoever is responsible. And that is frustrating when you are trying to learn, he stops halfway, and starts over again.
