@Insym You need to close the murder cases to make the bodies (and if inside, to make the trespassing zones) dissapear. keeping them open causes the issue you had before where you could not walk into the City Hall without tripping the alarm, that was because you kept the case open.
You can also if you need / want to keep old notes you can make a notes tab.

Regarding "who reports the body if they live alone?", I had a glitch and had to reload a murder discovery, so when I got to the apartment before it was reported, the neighbor said "What is that smell?" and then called the enforcers, so it's safe to say it's a neighbor after some time passes.
I was playing today and had 3 or 4 people in a basement saying a bunch of different lines about the place smelling or smelling like blood. Searched the room next to them and there was a undiscovered dead body but they had a partner living with them who was there at the time...
Dunno why it wasn't reported by the partner lol

WAIT that is what that is?? I was hiding in the vents of one couple, and they kept running around and commenting on the smell - I thought they were smelling me, in some broken way since I have the no stinky perk

For future reference/players/current players who don't know; if you get to the crime scene and the security door is down, you can pull the alarm. When the alarm ends, the door will automatically open. It saves you a couple of minutes of waiting/venting.
It now sounds super-wrong to me if people just say 'hair.' It's 'hair hair.' ALWAYS. That's just the proper full term now.
So i think on the official discord it was mentioned that dead bodies get like, a stink radius that slowly increases. So that eventually neighbors will investigate.

I had a situation where a police officer murdered her roommate and then guarded the crime scene. It took me so long to find her.
Regarding the cheating case: In my experience, the only concrete evidence of an affair you can turn in, is the flower bouque you can find at the house of the person the partner is having an affair with. Printed mails aren't sufficient for some reason.
That’s silly. What the point in having the V-Mail if you can’t use it as proof of infidelity? I know you wouldn’t know, it just something that puzzles me.
@@jasonisrobin234 well, you can use the mail to figure out who they're sleeping with, go to their home and then find the flower bouque with the partner's fingerprints on it. I guess that's better proof, than just a mail.

I'm still watching the video but in case you haven't found out yet, if you run into a murder case where you can't find any evidence, try reloading the game. Sometimes a bug will cause some evidence to not spawn in but if you reload the save you will find the missing evidence floating in the air above your victim.
Recently had an annoying case like that. They somehow left behind no fingerprints on the note/toy car they left, the cabinet the body was stuffed into, the murder weapon I found nearby, etc.
They even somehow managed to avoid being seen on cameras. Which was especially weird because the 2nd murder took place in a hallway directly where the camera was looking at for surveillance records! They even drew a message on the wall (according to the newspaper, I didn’t actually see it anywhere) and left their note/toy car on the body without being seen!
I only figured out who they were when I realized I could check the chemist’s sale records for people who bought poison. There it was, syringe + poison at the time of the first murder and a syringe at the time of the second.
And, as I learned from reading some discussions, there’s a possibility they can leave fingerprints on doorknobs. I went back to the first scene and there it was. The only fingerprint in the entire apartment that belonged to the killer. There was none on or near the body, their note/toy car calling card, the murder weapon, they even avoided being seen by cameras, but somehow there was just a single print on the doorknob.

I took one of those enforcer arrest cases in my game and the target was the murderer I’d literally just arrested. I do wish the job notes would update a little more often!

I have to share.
I was just walking around the streets and saw 2 people being weird and sus. And they ended up battling and one unalived
the other right infront of me. Well once i got all the evidence for the case i went to arrest the suspect and they were working in an asian restaurant. Well they started beating me up and everyone in the building starting beating eachother up and i just walked outside and watched a full out brawl happen in the restaurant while the alarm was going off. Like it was wild 😂😂

Omg I started my first case in Twitch City, seed provided by you, and my very first case (without tutorial) was of a murder due to cheating. The person that killed the victim had been their partner, and they fled from their house, didn't turn up at work, and honestly, I still haven't found them! Its been like 2 in-game days!!!

It would be cool if the killer sometimes wouldn't leave clues, i think it's 4 types of killers now (valentine killer, ritual killer, corpo killer, toy car killer) it gets pretty easy to catch suspects once you've gone through 4. Or maybe add like 20+ unique killers with a chance of whether they leave fingerprints or not, that would add so much replayability :)

I wonder if you could have submitted the neighbor's profile as evidence that placed the killer at the crime scene. You know, kind of to say "this person's testimony". Maybe that could be a feature later, the ability to ask people to sign an affidavit stating the information they just gave you so you can use it as evidence.

Imsym! You should somehow implement some form of gambling on this game. Like gather a huge amount of suspects on a case, put them on the wheel and let people make their own guesses like you do on Phasmo. I think that would be pretty funny.

Still watching the video, but if you're looking for a kitchen hand, any place that serves food is a good place to check. If it has a kitchen, there's a kitchen hand, like in Thankful.
I wonder if a single person gets murdered at home, if the landlord might enter the property eventually (like maybe they're late on their bills) ... but then it makes me wonder if a LANDLORD gets murdered alone at home...
When people die alone, it is often first family and friends who notice when a person went missing. Curiosity will spark for them to go look, then the body is discovered. There are also instances where, if you live in an apartment building or in close proximity to other people, your peers will notice a lack in presence. That might make them concerned. Sometimes a buildup of unclaimed mail is also a huge indicator that people look for.
But, if worse comes to worse and you have nobody to look for you, your corpse will simply rot until the government comes looking for you because you haven't been paying your taxes.
So, no matter what happens, in the end the government is kinda there for you, I guess?

For the first arrest of this video, I believe you just needed to reselect their profile because they were no longer Salma Ideas. They were Salma Del Ray.
Yesterday I had a murder where cops speed ran to the crime scene and started blasting the killer till I stroll up and arrest them.

What happens if you let someone become a serial killer and opt to never stop them? Do they stop eventually? Does the police actually arrest them? Do they just kill everyone and you get an entire consequences-free city all to yourself?

I'm stuck on a job where I need to find someone and the only info I have to go off of is bald brown hair, their shoe size, and what building they live in. I checked the residence files for that building and not a single person matches their description. The only way I can think of solving this is going door to door and investigating every single person in the building. Does anybody know of a second set of residence files apartment buildings have? The one I found was on the seventh floor in a security room.

should play with some rule or challange like barbaric action is the last option, the game easy to broke and less immersive since u can just slap people arrest them or hurt innocent npc and become barbaric detective ever live

thats a LOOOOTS of evidence... i had a case where NO fingerprint, NO paper, no witness absolutly NOTHING :D only the dead body, and its killed by sharp blade and thats all :D when i arrived nobody moved in the apartment, nobody was in the building so absolutly no clue the whole house has only just 1 type of fingerprint and 1 type of footprint both of them is the victim's :D so i hardly fkdup :D
