Hi Salimah, when i finished my practice and listening you. An idea come my mind. You know ( better than me) moola bandha. Last 7 month i practice every day and wonderful solution for my sexual desire, it look like finish, yes i like make love and i have a beatiful wife. But my choice: my body shouldnt control my energy and time. Nowadays my energy and time goes to yoga, meditation, pranayama etc. So, sexual desires have great power like addiction, and moola bandha great solution, mybe you want share this technic with your followers. ( i practiced maha banda, but not effective like only moola practice for sexual desires. )
I’m so glad you found it. Scrolling is right up there for so many of us. No shame - just knowing that it’s a distraction from the other things in your life is powerful and then taking action to soothe yourself in other ways.
Hello Salimah firstly thank you so much for this. ❤When you say if you miss a day just start over, I missed a day so do I need to start at day one again or just make sure I complete 40 days and add one on for the day I missed?
Hi Sarah - strictly speaking it means back at day 1 after missing a day. I used to think of it as punishment. And then I realized the kriya or meditation is keeping me in place for a reason. Either way it’s your choice what feel right and whether a catch up day or start over is required. Let me know what you decide. ⭐️
@@YogaVisionOnlineThank you replying Salimah, no I totally understand and I know why it’s keeping me in place. Definitely starting over with day one, I am determined not to short change myself and this healing process it is very important to me. ❤🙏
That's the most profound definition I've heard about "addictions". I have a few questions, when we turn to yoga & meditation, is it compulsory for one to turn completely vegetarian or its all just mindset (whatever we believe becomes our reality)? Secondly, does this apply to - very occasional drinking (and smoking) as well? - I have always been curious about it.
Hi Swati - being veg is not mandatory, I always recommending eating what feels good and right in the moment and enjoying the food we eat. You can apply this meditation to any habit that feels “sticky” like you can’t let it go. It could be a chronic thought or a mood too.
@@YogaVisionOnline Hi, so glad you said it - hearing from someone with years of expertise, is a good confirmation. I particularly don't have any sticky habits - just occasional wine & ciggs. Very controlled now
Thank you. ❤ I went into this one with feelings of shame and insecurity, however I mustered up some strength to do this after the Kundalini for Depression practice. I feel a bit more self-aware after this. Sat Nam! 🙏🏾
Salimah, I would like to ask if abstinence also necessary towards the path to full state of self-realization. The sexual energy or creative life force. Will it impede in raising the kundalini energy if we engage in such impulsive activity.
Hi there - thanks for this important question. Personally I don’t think practicing yoga, spiritual development require us to give up food or sex or “things”. I do think it asks us to stop lying to ourselves on any level. That’s the hardest one to give up.

What did you love about this practice?
Salimah, can you say a little more about addiction to an emotional state? I find that thought fascinating and never considered it before.

Is this meant to be done for 40 days?
Yes that’s the best way to use all kundalini yoga and meditation practices.
