The comedy genius of this is how it highlights the sheer pretentiousness of fashion or "trends" in general. I cannot praise this kind of comedy enough it is just world class and perfectly funny.
I remember seeing it, here's a link to it, at least to a programme about it which shows some of the original Wogan (this time hosted by Sue Lawley) ruclips.net/video/nKZaYLTP0Zg/видео.html
Watching that Wogan now she was so ahead of the times, there was no way a Wogan audience was ever going to be ready for it. And I’m sure the producers knew what was going to happen. Pretty vile of them really. I used to watch Wogan every night but looking back on RUclips, he was something of a dick.
@@OlafProt Just to summarise, in your opinion: Wogan’s audience was far too unsophisticated, the producers probably set Westwood up and poor Terry himself (who wasn’t even there at the time) was a ‘dick’ anyway…? …Or alternatively just maybe Westwood was overrated, disingenuously venerated by pretentious fashionistas and her clothes were crap? Ah, choices choices. 🙂
It is funny when you think about it though. We have such ingrained, pre conditioned notions of what is "normal" and what isn't. In reality, if you strip away what we consider to be social... Hold on, damn. My arm's just burst.
I'm on Alan's side
Is this man injured? Right, right, so the idea is, you'd had an operation, you want to look GOOD on the Ward, that's what he'd look like.
That's a great Vivienne Westwood impression.
I just watched an interview with Vivienne Westwood, and I came straight here. Rebecca Front does an extraordinary job.
And Rip Viv...
@@marieadams3720 yeah, she was an icon.
"iv'e broken up the classic lines of the suit with a saline drip!" Utterly brilliant!
I don't know why these vids don't have more views. This is classic Partridge!
I'm being told I'm ludicrous by Mrs Whippy head - classic.
One of the best moments of 90s telly, comedy or otherwise. Genius.
"French Hidden Buttock Agenda" is my favourite sentence.
My fave series of the past 20+years, Just brilliant.

Very clever humour. Every episode of Steve Coogan is genius. Was expecting 10 million views. It's very dry humour
RIP Vivienne Westwood
One of the best... this is classic
“Get away it’s a bomb”😂

This section is based on a Wogan episode featuring Vivienne Westhead & Russell Harty.

I saw that. Poor old Viv threatened to stop the show if the audience continued laughing.
Even the accent and make up are the same

RIP Vivienne Westwood.
Chris Morris looks so proud to be modelling on Alan's show.
Never noticed it was him before
It’s not him. They talk about it in the dvd commentary.
The ratings where bad and went steadily down from there .. ;) .. (love it )
A good name for a French philosophy restaurant would be Maison d'Etre.
RIP Mrs Whippy-Head
Isn't that the distributor cap from a Ford Mondeo?
The best line and sooo typical of Alan and his obsession with cars.

One of the few times, I'm on Alan's side, the clothes are crap, then again it wouldn't be surprising if we saw them in the next Paris Fashion Week.
Mrs Whippy Head sounds like Mrs Slocombe from Are You Being Served.
Pov:U searched up the mr beast hater and ended up here...
LMAOOO YES
Vivienne Westwood :D
The only man I know that wears slippers in the street is called dougie
"The Futility of Mortality".

..and now Vivienne Westwood is dead.
Vivienne Westwood parodied well
That is not dignity!
3:14 - Chris Morris.
It isn't, is it?! o_O
Nina is sexy.
This sketch would have been a lot funnier if all the models would have come in wearing the same v-neck jumper as Alan Partridge.
No, it wouldn’t have.
nice pretentiousness - if thats a real word .......
Is the 3rd model Chris Morris ?
RIP Vivienne Westwood
