Good ideas! One thing I do is kill cellular data to all apps except the ones I need access to (ie Maps/WhatsApp). This accomplishes 2 things: 1) Stops notifications 2) Doesn’t eat into the overseas data plan with them running in the background.
Good tips, but I wonder how many people will do any of these things. Addiction is really, really tough. BTW, I have all notifications off all the time. As you said, I want to control my attention. I turn on some notifications selectively when I’m expecting an important message from someone.
Thanks David! I agree, it is a hard spot for people not to get sucked into the phone. Hopefully it helps a few people. Thanks for the thoughtful comment. Sounds like you are a step ahead on controlling your attention. I am working on a video for photo storage and tagging on your phone while you travel. Do you do anything special or is that not a priority for you? Appreciate your support!
@@JustBookedIt My wife is the photographer when we travel because she has a good eye. Her photos are so much better than mine that I basically stopped taking photos except occasionally some of her (which she hates). She rarely tags anything so that would be useful information.
The sound got much better and I like the vi-ding thing...
Thanks for the feedback Ben! Appreciate it. Hopefully we can continue to level it up. haha glad you like the vi-ding. 🙌

Great travel tip! This setting will actually take care of of keeping off a bunch of apps. Thanks for commenting. I will steal this one for sure.
Thank you for making this video. It’s a reminder that we should be intentional with our devices and be more present!
