I rode there a long time ago, in the mid-1990s. I'm sure it's even better now than it was then. The trail along the bluff is perfect for introducing someone to off-road biking. I remember riding up into the hills, and I stopped in the shade for some water and a snack. A bobcat came up and sat in the shade with me, only about 8 feet away. I hope to ride there again sometime.
Awesome!, what an amazing experienced. I’ve only seen deer, wild turkey’s & among other small animals. Definitely, the ohlone trail is a great place for a beginner, with more advanced trail’s just up the mountain. Stoked for you to ride there again, Wilder Ranch has many awesome trail’s, probably find some new one’s along the way. Thank’s for sharing…👊🏽
Cool vid. I live in San Jose and want to try this trail someday. I was in a bike shop in Santa Cruz the other day and the employee recommended this trail.
Thank's!...👊🏽, It is an amazing trail. Great recommendation by the shop. Wilder Ranch State Park has one of the most unique trail systems, definitely give it a try when possible....🤟🏽
The trail is called "Old Cabin", it is best access thru [ Englesman loop Trail], a fire road that takes you to the top and intersect with old cabin. Hope this helps....🤟🏽
I used Strava, for all my cycling activities, it is a great app for finding trails. Will be adding a link shortly, of the complete loop I did @ Wilder Ranch...🤙🏼
I haven't been out there in a few years. Need to get out and stretch the legs a bit, just might be the right place to do it. Hopefully, the weather is nice too. Even if it isn't, it's still a beautiful place to ride. BTW, what did you use for your editing software? I'm always curious to know what people like and don't like. Be safe!
You should, it is a great place...all the trails are awesome, specially Ohlone Trail. I am currently using LumaFusion for editing, it's easy to used and works great with my iPad Pro 2019...🤙🏼
@@simplyriding2196 Yes, Wilder Ranch has awesome trails for all skill levels. I would recommend riding ( green trails) such as : Wilder Ridge Loop, Twin Oaks, & West Englesman Reroute, they have gentle climbs & descents. ( Thanks..🤙🏼)
