Well you should never store it in one location rather aim for three if possible this customer was lucky they had file history set up to save on their secondary drive.

@@mattscomputerservices 3 different places, carefully considered to ensure adequate accessibility and security.. honestly i think people know this intuitively but it's a case of believing 'it will never happen to me' combined with the logistics being a put off
One boot drive (SSD is a requirement, not a suggestion, honestly.), games on nvme drives, and all other data on a hdd.
The biggest problem here is that very few people ever back up their data.
This happened to me but it was literally working perfectly 30 minutes ago

I always stuck with my crucial mx 300 1.5 tb. Works perfect and superbly. I have used the ssd for almost 7 years (since 2017) and it's never failed on me.
While you are in there do them a favor and at least put the drive in the cage where it can't get loose and break stuff. If not actually put it in a caddy.

@@miniflashmy pc didn’t have an os at all so i ended up using a bootable usb drive idk if that helps
Samsung to Crucial, huge downgrade. Got a Crucial SSD, died in less than a year, the warrant was not covered in my country. Never getting another product from them.
the IT team used to make the joke dell rolling in the deep anytime one of the computers acted up

@@amankumarsharma4 yeah i downloaded windows 10 on a usb set the boot device to the USB no problems and the pc came with windows 10 pro so when i did the install on USB i got windows 10 pro!!!

What about ssds that work on working computers but aren’t recognized by bios?
I migrated from hdd to ssd and everything went fine and my pc did turn on and after that i restarted it and then opened bios set my ssd as boot drive and it turned on again without any issue and i saw that my ssd was indeed the boot drive and after some time i turned on my pc and both hdd and ssd were plugged in to the system and then it showed the error “an OS wasn’t found try disconnecting any drives that’s don’t contain an OS”
Then i hit ctrl+alt+del to restart it and opened bios to set my old hdd as a bootable drive then my pc turned on and i just bought this ssd recently i don’t know what to do

but like i tried plugging in my old hdd that was working in my old pc same model as the current one im using but still it not working
Can you go into boot loader and manually load off that drive? If you plugged into a different data port it might not load automatically
@@emmanuelalva6597 i found out a couple days later that in my new computer the pci wire was broken but i got a new one and its fixed.

Another way just spam f12 and run through legacy boot

Somehow I used a restore point and then my PC restarted and froze after it came back on and now nothing works I can't even get the 3 restarted to show up if I press the power button it instantly shuts off u think we could form like a call and u could tell me what's going on or like message on any platform of your choice plz I would really appreciate I think maybe I might have to do this in this but not to sure how

I was playing a game when i alt tabbed my entire pc froze and turned off, when i tried to turn it back on i was booted into the Bios instead of windows. I have 2 drives but only 1 is listed. Is the drive with windows broken or can i fix this issue?

Very likely a fake Samsung, bought on AliExpress or similar.
@@spider496It was the 870 EVO i believe, those models from early 2021 are notorious for just dying on you.
Your boot drive should be different from where you store important files and data. i have a 150gb SSD as my boot drive, 1x 1TB as game drive and 1x 2tb as my personal data drive. also for the love of god put your damn drive in a caddy and mount it.

I have the same cpu , which booting process is very slow , I takes 4mins on showing dell logo then a board comes it's says hard drive not found , press F1 to continue , when I press it start successfully , it take almost 10 mins to start (every time )

No. Sometimes can be only the data cable or also the Sata port that got bored. It's rare, but I've seen it happen before.
You know, I think I just need to reinstall windows, I was downloading steam when my computer got unplugged.

Legally speaking the bad ssd still belongs to the cuatomer. And the customer may still want to recoverd the data via a data recovery place.

The customer had a file history setup using the second drive so it wasn't required.
