Athira , not a fake news. In Canada according to Globe and Mail, there are about 1,028,000 international students. Then there are people with work permits, refugees and many of them has families. Government has basically lost track of how many temporary residents(TR) in this country. Many estimates are north of 2.2+ million and more are coming. All these people want to get PR. Government is issuing 500,000/ year for all categories of immigrants. At the rate of 500,000/year, how many years will it take for the existing TR's to get PR? You have to include nurses, doctors and other essential workers Canada has to bring to meet the current shortages. They are not in the 2.2 million already here. They are outside the country. It will be interesting.
It is true that the situation do exist and I can assuredly say that they are taking track of what is happening and the counts of their immigrants too! But the way they have brought in restriction is very sensible and they are expecting good profiles only. But most of the medias and notions are like, they have completely controlled or in fact banned- I would say ‘restricted’ will be more in sense! That’s the core of what I meant! And there are definitely individuals who simply take a program just to get in there and now it has become time to look into the PR eligibility and count the chances as well as take genuine efforts to make our profile good enough!

Yes these people are taking courses and choosing colleges none of the kids in my family even touch. Many of these courses has no value practically anywhere in the world including Canada.

@@athiragokul Personally I have no interested in this topic. I accidently came to your channel. I am appalled at what is going on now in Canada re: TR situation. I am a long term resident of Canada (50 years). My nephew's son(born Cdn citizen) is renting a room close to western university where he is studying. Rent is appalling $3,600 dollars a month plus all utilities (shared with 4 friends). This used to be only $ 350/ month per student. This are getting out of control and the locals are not enjoying it.
