I think it depends on the organization. If it's a blue collar city/franchise with that type of fan base, they want a certain type of player. That seems to have been more of Brandon Jennings’s agent imposing his own feelings on the impressionable Brandon’s haircuts and using “others” as an excuse.
It reminds me of the time the NFL was fining Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson for touchdown celebrations.
