I did enjoy this video. You mentioned near the beginning of it that there's a lot of difference between your RG 45 and your Rayco 1625's and 1635's. I have a 2009 RG1625 SJR and will be replacing the initial drive belt and the electric clutch belt in the very near future and was wondering if you had a video regarding the replacement of those two belts on the 1625. If so could you direct me to it. Thanks in advance for any information that might help me in this process.
So in order to determine baseline I set the pen gauge to 15 pounds push it in and that will be my base line, measure 1/2 from the baseline and then take a pencil and push with the gauge again that’s still set to 15 pounds and as long as the pencil hits the line I should be good? I’m just trying to figure out how to get a baseline because I changed my belt completely
I'm thinking of upgrading to this machine or the RG55. More feedback about the machine and more maintenance videos are appreciated. How many hours do you have on the belt? Are those 900 series greenteeth? I was running 900s on my sc362 and they were destroying the cutter and jackshaft belts every 50 hours. I switched to the 700s and haven't had that problem anymore.
I will be adding lots more videos starting in the spring. Yes they are 900s. I dont over work them. There's an old expression. Dont bite off more than you can chew. This machine has more than enough power for the 900s .
why do you think my grinder rayco rg 45 2014 model won't start sometimes i had the starter replaced after it gave out i believe the starter may be the cause again not sure but i would like your opinion. after a job it will not start up again but if i leave it alone for five minutes its all good starts up fine
I would check the fuses first. After that check your connections and ground wires. There is always a possibility it could be a bad ignition or solenoid.
The Rayco timing belt isn't good. It dissolves and does not hold. The first 37mm belt lasted 80 hours. This RG 45 was converted to 68mm Poly Chain by Gates. Here you can have a look at the reconstruction. www.hoppebaumdienst.de/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1065
If you are trying to take the belt off or put a new one on you are going to have to pull the lower pully off. Its fairly simple. Remove the bolts from the pull and put them in the holes that were empty. As you turn the bolts in the pulley will walk off the shift. If you need more help than that you can call me at 7247147nine8 8
Tactical Stump it’s because one of the screws of one of those wheels where the belt goes is broken and we need to get it replaced and we do not know how to pull that out
Can anyone help me out I have a rayco 1625 Junior stump grinder 25 horsepower stump grinder and I need two pulleys for the drive belt the top one in a bottle pulley I'm having a difficult time finding those two parts
Awesome detailed video. !! Thanks
Great video. Very helpful

Does anybody know how to remove the Serpentine Belt I think that’s what it’s called the wheel that spins the belt

My setup is just like that but not the middle pulley just to a top one in a bottle
