My granddaughter and I put a ficus tree in her fairy garden with a tire swing. We also made a pond with blue beads and a beach. Each fairy had her own beach towel. So fun.
Your son is so lucky to have a very talented mom. I hope you have a scrapbook of your fairly gardens that you have made. I have one more thing to add to your list of things to do one of these days, Need to think how to sell them to people with finish pictures, directions and supplies on how to make, and you get paid for them, so people can make a book for which ones they want for themselves, if not all of them. It wouldn't be a disaster I bet it would be a beautiful creation. I recently put some flowers together in a container not knowing how it would come out and to my amazement they look beautiful. I guess the point is is make your own arrangement and in that process you make your own creation you'll be proud of.
I always feel that way, and I hold myself back because I don't think I'll be able to do the mini gardens perfectly. We have to stop thinking that way! Let Laura inspire us, and just do it.

I started working on my first succulent miniature garden yesterday. You were my inspiration to start growing succulents. I started last fall and I've had to recreate a whole space in our "Bonus Room" (because I don't know what else to call this room that has a place for our extra-curricular activities).

I think this may be your best dish garden yet, the goldfish pond is so cool but the swing and "pallet" walkway takes it over the top.

I couldn't imagine how you knew how to make that pond. I was like "is she a crafting master too??" Well, you didn't really know how to make it, you kind of winged it! The orange of the fish in that translucent blue is magic.
