What are some of the 'easiest' weapons you have used in Planetside 2? NS is up next, so weaponized toasters or... ya know... anyone else, let me know your thoughts!
NSO easiest weapons aren't that easy but here we go. ES stuff Lmg : xmg100 with compensator is really easy to use. The default nso 1x iron sight is good for its recoil pattern. Assault rifle : ar100. Really easy to control even without compensator or grip. If you have it i would switch it with the Maxwell with compensator ( nevermind i thought in pts it had it) as it's NSO best ar by good margin. Carbine : the cb100 . I think cami will be choosing the cbx75 so I'm coming out here and saying that the cb100 is very noob friendly with the grip. The grip tames the horizontal recoil on the cb100 making a laser beam . Smg : the pmg 3x is the only one that's good imo Scout rifle : BR200 . This gun is just too good and easy to kill people with. Sniper : sr100 because its extremely forgiving and doesn't have a slow ads penalty. You might also want to add just how good NSOs' Linecutter is a taking out engy+Max squads. Mako and barA70 have a slightly longer ADS (ads cof for bar 70) than normal rifles
NSO 143 Dmg guns are also the best with High velocity ammunition. Cami you should test out how far the 250 damage headshot range extends out on NSO. Even out to the furthest dummy on vr training gallery .
As someone who has put in a bunch of hours of NSO freelance... I'm not sure any NSO weapons are "easy" to use with how underpowered they are. The whole faction feels like hard mode. CB-100/XMG-100 are good starts but you are punished with the mag size and reload speed. That kills new players. CB-X75/BAR-A50 have good kill potential but require a good bit of recoil control and situation awareness beyond what I would expect from a really new player. And the SR-100 and BAR-200 are good but can mostly be replicated by other factions. The only 3 that might work in this context? The harbinger is a great pistol that can kill and help players adjust to meta revolver sidearms. The SR-L75 after some patches makes for an interesting scout/sniper rifle with 0.75x ADS movement to teach that snipers still need to move. And a wild card? Maybe the AR-101 with HV ammo. By having a 143 damage at 40m, this weapons still holds damage potential at range when many new players like to fire at everything. Not a good long term strategy but one that can help in warehouse fights that take place over 15m away.
If a new player is going for a sniper role, i'd suggest picking a phaseshift up. The simple fact that you have infinite ammo without an ammo printer and no bullet drop on damage profile of a bolt-action sniper rifle fully compensates for a slower bullet velocity.
@@nCmixam As someone who has already auraxed the starting VS sniper, I can tell you with certainty that it is most definitely not a semi. It is a good sniper though.
The Obelisk should really be in there. 0 cof in all movement states, cof and recoil that resets after each shot, 2HS kills at all ranges, no bullet drop, and HEAT. It's a great weapon to train on headshots and for long range marksmanship because it's so bloody consistent otherwise. The Zenith would be my carbine pick. Lowish recoil, tight hipfire, .75x ADS movement and access to UA. Also, the SVA would be my ez LMG of choice because of 0 recoil bias and again, UA.
I just made a new character, and I'm planning to buy Obelisk as my multiclass sniper rifle. I can't even use it with an infiltrator because it's not worse than any semi auto sniper rifle, except for the shorter scope.
Recently switched mains from NC to Spandex and I gotta say I'm appreciating these "easy weapons" guide Cami. I'm one of those players who invest my certs in guna because that's what I enjoy most about the game. I've been loving my Phaseshift and Nyx lately, but aiming well for the head is so much work and needs so much patience that sometimes you just want to stop thinking too much and just switch on autopilot. LOL
No reason in particular just that it was getting pretty stale. When Briggs was still up I used to play NC there. Then I stopped playing for a while and lost that account from my memory so when I made a new one, I played NC again but this time on Cobalt. But at some point since I started working, I realised that Emerald has the best pop count overall during the timeslot that I'm able to play. So I switched servers and thought, why not switch factions as well? So I've been playing my VS on Emerald since. I kept the NC on Cobalt tho.
The Pulsar C was the gun i had in mind from the first episode of the series. So easy to use and reliable, while at the same time boasting quite reasonable killing power too.
Good vid Cami! Also as a bonus side note, the Pulsar LSW is also the best LMG to do a burst build on. Second lowest vertical recoil and second lowest first shot recoil multiplier together makes it's the most burstable LMG in the Vanu arsenal.
When comparing the Pulsar LSW to the Orion, don't forget that the extra 80 muzzle velocity over the Orion is a real boon in most medium range engagements
Pulsar C is one of the best guns in the game. After thousands of hours and all of the directive weapons unlocked I still go back to Pulsar C for my light assault and engineer, if I could take it on a heavy I would
VS has far and away the easiest arsenal, every class has something that you can pick up and cause havoc with. from lashers, lashing ammo, unstable ammo, sniper/scout rifles with no drop and faction perks like no reloading and infinite ammo. for your LMG choice i'd have went with Unstable-Lasersight-Short Barrel Maw! its downright dirty the streaks that a 1kd guy like me can go on with that thing.
For some reason, this specific episode reminded me of an Australian-Adopted Assassin in a hat simulator video game: "THE BULLETS COME OUT OF THE SLIM END, MATE!"
Would definitely include the Phaseshift. Not every situation calls for bolt action, and not every situation calls for semi auto. Being able to swap between them depending on your situation is very valuable if you've chosen the path of the sniper
I think horizon is probably the most accurate weapon you can use when jumpjetting at ranges longer than a few meters. Especially true for drifter jets.
