Unboxing ecobee’s newest stuff

The brand new ecobee Smart Video Doorbell is out October 17, 2023. It has a 175-degree vertical field and can stream video directly to the Smart Thermostat Premium's screen. It has an operating temperature ranging from -13 F to 113 F. That huge temperature range is due in part to the doorbell camera's hardwired design.

I was excited to get the notification for an ecobee video doorbell, then realized its 1080p HD, not 4K, OR EVEN 2K, NO Apple secure video support and you need a subscription to enjoy the features of the camera. I think I'll pass there are other options out there .
