I’d set a new lap record: slowest possible time known to science. 😂
Actually, you need to go fast to slow the time
I think you meant longest time possible to finish a lap
Andrea Moda: *Finally, a worthy opponent*
(Their driver, McCarthy, set a lap time in Monaco: 17:05,924)
@@NightmareMoon9964yeah the Andrea moda s921 was the worst f1 car by a long shot, terrible engine, slow through every single type of corner, didn’t even start at times, really low top end, terrible gearing, it was just a disaster of a car.
I’d probably set a faster time in a Honda crv than I could in a f1 car simply because I wouldn’t be terrified
Anyone can drive a F1 car... The variable is how long you can drive it before crashing lol
Most would stall
Nope. An _ACTUAL_ average driver would never even get it to move. Even Top Gear's Richard Hammond stalled more than once.
Even if don't stall it and get it moving, Quite hard for the average driver to get their head round the amount needed to keep the tyres upto temperature and trust the downforce.
You are underestimating the human capability of beeing bad in something.
Not everyone can drive one there steering and the G’s u pull on a turn is crazy
Adrenaline might carry me a lap or two then my neck would turn to jelly.
or spam 😂
My dad had the privilege of driving a Formula car (no idea what level, but he isn’t even an amateur racer by any stretch) but he struggled even getting it off the line due to stalling. They’re extremely difficult to drive
The engines don't have flywheels and basically don't idle. You have to continually manage the revs. Great experience, though, I'm sure.
The thing w/ F1's is that you HAVE to be brave and go fast, otherwise you won't generate enough downforce and you'll just spin out.
You sure? Sounds like a myth, I've watched the footage of one of the winning contestant driving the F1 car, he drove it pretty slow and it handled just fine
@@kerimca98 tbh i might be thinking of the older models
So you aren't wrong, but with some decent throttle control and properly warmed tires goes a long way and can make it manageable IF you brake hard enough while driving it like a Prius, at least that's what I got from when Richard Hammond did the same thing 10+ years ago.
Where's the telemetry work so I can see how he used all 10 percent of the car abilities.........lol
It would be nice if we knew his fastest lap time 😂
If that was this year's alpine he wouldn't be in any danger
That would be so awesome! I've worked as a corner worker and emergency services person for F1, Indy Car, NASCAR, SCCA Pro, and on down the ranks. I lived racing for a long time! Loved it all.
Thank you for your service!
I've always wished I could do this. F1 is my favorite of all races. Loved the race between a F1 and a Cafe racing bike
For those that are sad that they can't enter because they're too tall, too young, etc:
They will still give you a huge alternative prize, a sim racing setup worth about $14,000
What kind of engine? Racing engines without a flywheel are notoriously difficult to keep running.
Same engine for the year that car was made...obviously only 70% power
Its the car Kimi drove in 2011.
@@ergoproxy-gx2cqKimi didn't come back until 2012
Confidence to drive an F1 (following practice in a single seat race car) 👍
Ability to fit into an F1 car 👎🥲
Well, yes, me too.😅
@@martinoberngruber1893 if rally cars were an option, I think I'd fit!
@petro1986 maybe. But I've seen awfully narrow seats in there, too. 😅
My exquisitely shaped dad bod figure will definitely not fit 😂😂
The 2012 Alpine isn't real, it can't hurt you.
2012 Alpine:
It's Winfield academy! They made Alpine and Renault and Lotus cars
Dream come true 😍
If Pastor Maldonado could, Everybody could too
"After all, it’s actually relatively easy to drive a Formula One car. Throttle, Green, Green, Amber. Change. Brake, turn the wheel, point it at a corner, accelerate. Simple. It’s like an arcade game. The challenge is doing it faster than everybody else without losing control. That is an entirely different level." -Adrian Newey
Oh Ricky you never let me sing babaloooo waaaaaaah
No average people in France?? Putain!!! 😂
This alpine is faster than 2024 alpine
Ricky did a 360s
I'm too tall and fat to fit in an F1 car sadly. But hey, if you ever do a competition to drive a racing semi-truck I'll be one of the first in line to enter!
Ricky must have millions to let him drive an f1 car
I wanted to comment "what happened with all the racing tracks of the US?" Flying a man from the US to France for this makes no sense. Then i realized that Paul Ricard is probably the track with the largest tarmac run off areas on the planet.
that was a good recovery tho ngl
Ricky when I catch you Ricky
This dude is still better than Mazepin
I’ve always dreamed of driving F1, even jf it was one time, i’d love every second
I think it depends on the circuit you are driving, because some circuits are very normal, but others are harder to drive, for example sepang, its one of the most harder circuit because it has a two long rects and lot of turns that make the driver experiment over 5G forces at the end of the rects and 3G and 4G in the turns, being very hard to dont crash
I drove a real F1 simulator. Don’t know how it compares to the real deal, but that was HARD!! Couldn’t get past 30 MPH without spinning out.
The french flag isn't on the nose of the car evenly.. it's slanted slightly. Sorry to piss you all all with this information I just had to share it lmao
To be honest if i could fit in one i know i could do pretty good. From riding dirt bikes to driving cars ive always had a knack for mastering machines
His neck probably hurt for 2 months
more outdoor vids plzzzz
That would be sick ngl 🫡🫡🫡
Now put a gamer who's never driven a real car and see how well they do
Bro that would be so sick
What year is that car? Renault didn’t have such a high nose after reentering the Sport in 2016. Is it a Lotus or is pre 2009?
It definitely looks weird in an Alpine livery.
2012 or 2013 during the V8 era. Welcome to F1 and watch out for the gatekeepers.
Lotus 2012
@@Grant_Arnettif he’s not toxic or act like a know it all, most f1 fans would welcome him with open arms. I’m sure most gatekeeping are just to stop toxic fans from being a part of the community
I don't think i could FIT in a formula 1 car
If I could fit in the car, I think I would get along pretty well for a short while, I know I don't have the endurance to last a GP.
Ill set the lap record For Sure. Well at least the amateur driving an F1 lap record. 😂
I can barely do 140kg of sqat so i can only use 50% of the brakes... I think i would do quite well on the track, but i would brake way before the braking line
Wish I could, but I would never be able to squeeze in that thing. I'm 6 ft 4 and 275 lb. C'est la Vie
Hans-Joachim Stuck was 6'4 not sure what was his weight tho
You fit
You see the wet lights on - so it isnt set to maximun performance guys.
I'm having trouble with a mommy van lol
still disappointed we didnt get to see the laptime, compared to an f1 driver
don't you have average people in france or why do you have to import them?
I could totally drive one, but at 6’3” I doubt i would fit…
Its an Alpine. Practically a nissan altima.
I’d love to drive an F1 car on the limit, but I couldn’t get one of my thighs in the car much less my whole body.
Why did you have to find someone in New York to fly all the way to France? Is there not a single person in France? Who hasn’t drove an F1 car?
I was given the chance then I take it
Iam a world champion in F1(well...in a video game but it is what it is)😅😂
Are you an F1 pro gamer ?
Probably meant career mode 😅
Where link? Where link?!
What happened to the second guy from Australia that won it?
Anyone can drive a f1 car so long as it's not at race speed.......
I remember the Richard Hammond effort to drive a F1 ,..... now he has experience driving on track and open road in fast cars..... but he didn't have the confidence to drive fast enough to get the brakes hot enough to work properly....... he was going fast but the braking was not good enough to stop quickly, he was already at the end of his fears and he understood that to be safer he had to go faster..... he just couldn't do it.........
My turn
Yes pls
If only I could
You're johnny cage, you could afford to do it
@@d9zirable well, yeah, but I’m also filming movies
Bellow where?
Hell I will set a record too bad iracing is the closest action I get to a f1 car
I dispize shorts, rotate that ff-ing phone
Why don't f1 drivers use teammates tyres
But did he bunny hop?
I could easily drive an F1 car.
I miss my right leg. It was amputated below the knee. I reckon this is not a huge problem, is it? 🤔
Best lap time?? 😂
I'd be able to drive a F4
Were all Frenchmen busy that day?
Honestly as cocky as it sounds I feel like I would be significantly more competitive than your average F1 fan for my first time in an F1 car.
My reasons being:
1. I almost exclusively drive F1 cars on just about every sim I play with my cockpit in formula position
2. I come from a wrestling background so I’m extremely strong for how lean I am (6’2” 165-175 lbs) especially in my legs, core, shoulders, and neck.
3. I’ve experienced a sustained load of 7Gs and a peak of 9Gs (~10s) in a military grade human centrifuge. I was able to lift my neck at 7G and was the only one in my the group that could even surpass 6Gs (they stopped you once you couldn’t lift your neck anymore or you were struggling with the breathing technique). The Air Force pilots that were running the centrifuge were genuinely impressed considering I was a young teenager at the time.
5. I have extremely fast reaction times that can average 150ms if I’m locked in but typically sub 200ms
6. I’m him
Would love the opportunity to eat my own words 😉
are brakes stiff on this f1 model, also what about pedal travel??
The brakes feel like pushing a small house uphill. The travel is set to the preference of the driver.
I think it would be fun 😊 Even if they drive so slow and loud 😊
So slow?
Congrats to him but, I'd rather race in go-karts than to drive a Renault powered F1 lol.
I wish I could but you'd have wait a couple of years if you know what I mean😂
Avarage person will drive like a f1 driver if u give him at least 1 month training..not just put him in that car randomly in 1 hour, of course he not able to control the power frim that car..
One month training to drive like an F1 driver? I think a closer representation of an average person in an F1 car is that they would soil their pants without even getting close to "fast" - in one month all they would have is a lot of soiled underwear, assuming they came back on day two. If it were an average person who is immune to fear, maybe they'll go reasonably fast, but they'll probably kill themselves either literally or with the debt incurred during incidents. The average person hasn't even driven a 50cc go kart.
@@dylanmonahan5909 i said at least..i'm not expect that person 100% will be like f1 driver..
@@motorsport4311The massive misconception you have is that an "average" person could drive an F1 car on the level of any F1 driver. For decades the established F1 roster has been full of drivers with one common trait: Driving karts since childhood.
There's a very very slim chance, lottery style possibility of finding a random individual to slap into an F1 car and come close to F1 drivers times in a YEAR let alone a month. These guys have been racing multiple levels of formula spec cars their entire lives.
@motorsport4311😂😂😂
You wouldn't survive 5+ g's.
Why waste tickets from New York to France. No common men in France?
I can't find the link to apply. Can you help, please?
If you can't figure it out, perhaps there are better candidates out there. Formula 1 cars have plenty buttons too :)
By the way, there are 15000 tickets sold for 2.50GBP.
"This is the chance to have the experience of your life and drive a Formula One car at the iconic Circuit le Castellet in the South of France. The experience includes expert tuition from Scott Mansell.
From the moment you arrive, you’ll be surrounded by a team of more than 45 staff, including Alpine F1 crew members, driving instructors, mechanics, engineers, professional drivers, physiotherapists, and hostesses.
Your coaching will begin the night before with dinner and preparation from Driver61’s Scott Mansell. Scott will also be with you all day when driving, to offer his guidance and support.
And what a day it will be! With three sessions of 20 minutes in an F4 car, and at least three laps in the F1 car, you’ll be behind the wheel of a real F1 experiencing the thrill of high-speed driving.
You don’t meet the criteria to drive the F1 car? We are now offering a racing sim package worth £14,000 as a Prize alternative"
@@jakke1975 there sure are. I am sure I would not even fit into the car. And so much more.
You wouldn't let me do that. Id go too fast, how could I not!?
To big for one :(
Do you accept 184cm 120 kg candidates?
Just joking can't sit in rally car😂😂😂
Pfff, easy
Ill think I could not only drive one but also find a good setup.
