Same Sex Marriage - well, in Denmark we had Registred Partnership, which was almost the same as marriage, from June 7th 1989. It was changed as per June 15th 2012 to simply Marriage 😊
I thought: What has the Watzman (indeed: mountains in general) to do with Amsterdam? Whole Netherlands is flat as a pancake. But then I realized the background has nothing to do with the reaction at all.
Call me a spotter but that corner @4:21 is the corner from the movie "The Hitman's Bodyguard", starring Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L Jackson, it's where he crashes and pushes another car into canal.....
You compare the US with Europe, with size an population: Then I have some numbers: Size: US: 9.834.000 km², Europe: 10.530.000 km² --> about equal. EU about 4.233.000 km² Population: US: about 340 million, Europe: about 750 million, EU about 450 million
This is how it is to grow up in CENTRE Amsterdam. These are basically very rich kids who can afford to live in these VERY expensive and monumental so called canal houses. Definitly NOT representative of the rest of Amsterdam at all, let alone the rest of NL.
My brother lives in Amsterdam with his Indonesian wifey and their 3 kids. My brother and I grew up in a little town in province South Holland, so I'm often a bit scared for my brother's kids. There's a lot of crazy traffic and you often hear about weapons being used there in crimes. And I'm probably scared because of how safe it was where I grew up when I was a kid, but still. Worried auntie. lol.

New York used to be called New Amsterdam, owned by the Dutch and so the area used to be very similar to Amsterdam. Then the Brits conquered it and called it New York so it slowly became what it is now.
@@iamalexwolf try to stay on topic, yes I know NY used to be called New Amsterdam but then the Brits arrived with gunships and most of the Dutch left, but several settlements remained. Several names in NY have Dutch origins.
I'm Dutch and whenever I visit A'dam I'm always am ashamed of how foul and dirty that city is, not representative for the rest of the country, actually quite the contrary. But seeing most foreigners spend most of their time in the NL'sin A'dam they might get the impression Dutchies are sloppy pack-rats.
@@Mazil_5 No, I was there in February, with all due respect capital cities all over Europe have tourists, lots of them too. It appeared to me that it was a city authority issue. I didn't see any street cleaners out, like I would see here in my own country in the early morning. I should mention that some parts were beautifully kept with wonderful floral displays, but the rubbish was just too much not to miss. I was one of those tourists that you mention, I did nothing to make the city dirty, I never would.
Mostly has to do with the people going through the rubbish bins, looking for plastic bottles & cans. You can return these items to the supermarket, and get a little amount of money in return. These people leave the bins open, and the animals do the rest. On top of that, a large amount of tourists simply throw away their garbage on the streets. The city cleaners simply can’t cope with the amount of rubbish on the streets these days.
Amsterdam's canals are are about 2.6m or 8.5 feet on average...

You were indeed in Denmark the first with the possibility for registered partnership in 89. Here in the Netherlands it was in 98.

Ha, a friend of mine was the gun handler for the shooting scenes aroun there.
I thought there was very civil and respectful young people in Amsterdam
Hagelslag/chocolate sprinkles is very Dutch but I wouldn’t recommended eating it every morning, most people don’t do it that often.
Bread and butter with cheese is a different thing tho 😂
