This is the best way possible to open up a new era in Star Wars. Giving us an epic scale of a story that spans several characters that are all unique. Porter Engle was such a fantastic character. I liked seeing a Jedi that was on his way out and generally was doing something as mundane as cooking. The force abilities were mind blowing, I can't wait to see what everyone thinks of this come January!
Can you please explain why people are so upset about the whole high republic thing? To me it actually looks pretty cool that we can now discover a new era. I don’t understand all if the hate, I am genuinely confused.
I’m at a loss too. Of all the books I’ve reviewed, every canon novel so far, this is the one people are complaining about being SJW nonsense??? Clearly these people don’t read the books. This is one the least “woke” book on the SW shelf.
Because everyone wanted the OLD republic be canon again and instead of doing what the fans wanted they did HIGH REPUBLIC . And this era is by far the most boring. Jedi and republic is mostly a big peace. There are NO known sith. If we see sith then the jedi who find them must die because the Jedi do not learn of the sith. This era has no important big impact. This era legit is the least important. And they have shown over and over that they will continue to push their agendas and ruin anything good. The Mandalorian Feloniverse is good and look, all the politics and agendas the sjws want like strong female characters, diversity, etc is all in the Feloniverse but its natural and helps the story not ruins it. So why are they still doing what they are doing. I'm glad they are doing this in the most boring era and least important era instead of the OLD REPUBLIC...the old republic era is INCREDIBLE. Jedi are so powerful and this is BEFORE the rule of 2 so there are thousands and thousands of sith. Armies of jedii and sith battling. Then also the eternal empire, and revan, so many stories fans LOVE. Some of the all time best stories are during the old republic. And Disney made all that NOT canon anymore so fans are dying for it to be canon again. And there were rumors old republic was coming. Even the animated shows started to bring stories of the old republic and characters from then and rise of Skywalker had some old republic Easter eggs so it all pointed to the old republic was coming...and then high republic was announced si it siked everyone out and everything I just stated also
@@D0nt3v1u5 no people complained BEFORE the books came out because interviews came out from the creators and they all stated that they were HEAVILY focusing on these sjw politics. Ever since Mollie from Star Wars Explained went on a childish purge of anyone who had political opinions contrary to her own from their fan group (even if we never once expressed those opinions within the group), I've been looking for a new favorite Star Wars channel. I found this review as I'm planning to grab this book and a few other Star Wars books, so I've been watching your reviews to help me figure out which ones to grab. Then, I read your site and your Twitter, which led me to your reviews of study Bibles and I was pleased to see that we seem to share the same faith. It's also very refreshing to see a fan that doesn't rush to hate and criticize everything but instead, approaches things with a fair mindset. I will definitely be sticking around. Thanks for helping to promote what seems to be the start of a truly AWESOME era for my favorite fiction series of all time!
