Please post more of this! Show some isolated examples of just the guitar synth tracking with pitch band and without it. How does the midi output compare to the internal synth?
I had one of these I purchased a gr33 and sold it. There were tracking issues but I didnt hear any problems with your tracking no glitches that I hear. Speed player great thanks for posting
scott summers put out an alt bank of patches , that first one had velocity sensitive flute that would 5th at hard hits . there were two official sound cards by roland , the scott summers set which i kept on a memory card and then one funky after market sound card which was actually pretty cool . i forget the company . i have them all . you sound great !!
Thanks a lot! I've been thinking more and more about turning this into more of a guitar channel. I've been on a huge guitar pedal kick lately and kind of want to share it with the rest of the world.
I should preface this by saying that I don't own the GR-50 nor the Godin LGXT guitar any more. The LGXT had a built-in Roland pickup and I found that it used to work much better than any of Roland's old external pickup options. It used the Godin's piezos, which made it track pretty accurately.
@@TheMusicAddict Thanks for the prompt reply. I use Roland's GK-3 on a Charvel 475 Special. I think I'll try the Primova GKFX-1, which is supposed to enhance tracking and suppress ghost notes.
hello, really good sounds, and if also very good, as a converter what you used to drive via MIDI the roland gr 50 and sounds that you used are the factory patches then worked and with effects to the mixer?
I have an old VG-8EX, it's amazing!! I think it's much better than the VG-88, the VG-8 has more COSM HRM synth sounds and the EX version features the VIO Guitar, very cool!
Cool man! Great playing! Did you use the gr-50 just as a midi trigger for the Bouitique? Where did you use the gr-50 as a sound module? I never tried the gr-50 but Im a guitar synth maniac to. :)
I haven't had much of a chance to goof around with the GR-50, so I've only used its internal sounds to this point. One of these days, I'll try using it to trigger something externally via MIDI and I'll let you know how it goes.

Awesome shredding Jeff!!
Thank you!
amazing vid man! you should have tons more views!!! keep it up :)
Thank you, Tommy!
How did you get that exceptionally good tracking? My experience is that all guitar synths are prone to glitching, some more than others.

do you play with the internal sound of Roland gr50?
All of the synth sounds in this video came from the GR50.
Great sounds! Thank you for your answer.
Another important question; in this video, whic kind of strings do you use on your guitar? flat wound? and gauge?

Do you have the GR-55?
I've actually sold off all of my Roland guitar synth equipment. I don't even have the Godin LGXT anymore.

Cool! Here is a video of me playing the Roland GR-700 some years ago. My favorite analoge guitar synth.
