Great vid as always. i can see it been an attractive product however. i feel it will only fuel higher house prices at a time when they are incredibly high anyway. The no early repayment fee sounds great at first but i feel this product is there for long term to benefit from the higher fixed rate and therefore if paid off early you wouldnt benefit from the fixed rate. lastly i would be concerned lending so much, if you cant own a home for less than 5 times your salary then surely you are asking for trouble and over stretching at a time when we know cost of living is only going to increase. look forward to your next vid mate. cheers

This is a very helpful video.. I am a Lawyer and earning £58k and we cant use my husband's earnings just yet. Would Habito consider applicants with adverse credit history for this type of mortgage?

Habito are not really an adverse lender unfortunately, they state in their criteria that they consider a small amount of adverse. But it would depend on the details and loan to value

I have just checked their website and they literally do the same as any other lender 4.5x the income…I am an eligible borrower according to their list … odd

What exactly did you check on website? If you used the calculator then it won’t calculate this particular product, best to use an advisor

How is letting people over leverage ‘innovative’?
    Utter insanity.
All l can say is l’m glad to have only 18 months left on my mortgage and will be mortgage free at 46.

It’s a fixed rate for life, meaning the interest rate can’t change. This means the stress testing requirements are not needed. Won’t be right for all but can help people borrow more than other lenders currently can lend as they are required to stress test
