Tell her to make sure the vehicle is stopped completely before changing gears. Women have a problem with patience and they will do this. If you want to generalize all around the world women are lauded and even hired for their patience. The finest, most highly skilled work in industries from watchmaking to DNA development is entrusted to the patience of women. NASA used mathematicians before computers, who of course made mistakes too. In the 1960s the claim was its natural male impatience & assuming, as the best women's calculations were better checked. When John Glenn went to the moon he said he did not want the computer's calculations. He demanded they use the team of three black women who had calculated trajectory on his earlier launched, because he said they had the Patience to go through the entire process, then start all over again, and again to make sure they were right, and men would not.

Can you direct me a link on the exact servos you got on ebay ? Much appreciated brother
www.ebay.com/itm/133501262304. Should be what you need. There are .also cheaper used ones but you will need to know which one is broken first.
@@bucksgarage1 unfortunately that seller doesn't ship to Canada
can you send me the link from that part that you took off because I have the same problem thank you very much

Uo help me out I dont have reveres all other gears work what can it be thanks

The people i bought them from don't have anymore listed but there are tons on ebay. I'm not positive but this may work for you?? www.ebay.com/itm/133528423713
Did you ever find out what the issue was, currently have the same issue.
Yes. The servo broke in half and was letting fluid bypass.
My car won’t kick into R N D 1 2 3 when it’s cold and it lags from 1st to 2nd gear
Sounds like you have bigger issues
I went to the real ship with a healthy truck and I left with this problem. They tampered with it to make me come back here I am trying to figure it out myself.
I meant dealership
Hi did you have any other codes from the car come on or was it just the P0775
And how did you know which servo piston to buy
I beleive I had 3 codes. I cant remember the exact ones. I bought a set of used servos off Ebay for 35 dollars. Hopefully you can find a set for cheap also.
why dont you show how to pull the servo?
I just found a video where this guy finds out that his problem was the od harness cable near or going down to the transmission and he spent 2 transmissions the sad parr was no one told him that was just a cable broken from the od harness
Do you have a link to it?
I also saw one where it was a bad coil pack that was creating interference in the wiring harness @@Sensei_S197
@@bertsteele139 appreciate the information, however I ended up selling my auto 3v that came with the 5R55S and bought a 5spd that came boosted instead. However before selling it I had to replace my cars PCM, that’s what caused my car to stay stuck in the gears and not shift till I let off. It had a internal short in the pcm. Wish I found out 4 months before but at least I sold it running right.
My trans slipping help me please
Deberias hacer un video en Español ya que tengo la misma falla mi camioneta tiene encendido O/D off y no tiene fuerza para subir una pendiente muy inclinada pierde Fuerza?
También me pasa igual y no se que pieza es esa la mía es del 1996
What is that part called? My explorer is doing the same thing yours was. Exact same thing
A servo
"Overdrive servo piston" or "Intermediate servo piston" Depending on which one you are referring to.
How much will cost to get it done?
It they do it the way I did I would guess $150?
Help I can't find the cervos anywhere can you please help me find some
Ebay is your best bet. Possibly a ford garage.
How did you take them off
I had to stick my cell phone up in there with video mode on to see how the clips were oriented and then I used a pick. It wasn't easy but much better than pulling the trans.
I just bought the modified servos with the orings installed. Swapped them out and it works perfectly now. They’re $200 but saved time and money for me
could u send me the servo kit Pack via DHL?
How do you remove and install it?
Howw you take them out
Whats the name of the part
I have other problem with the code P0442
Did u end up tightening the bands as Well?
I didn't because I had rebuilt the whole trans a year prior to this. Those servos are a weak point of the trans.. so I'm not suprised it broke.
@@bucksgarage1 ok, my 2-3 shift is flaring and 3rd is slipping. I got the servo kit so I’m hoping it fixes it. I’ve heard good and bad. Mine only has 75k miles on it.
@triton starts wow that's not many miles. Definitely worth fixing.
@@bucksgarage1 ya crazy. Have terrible luck with cars. It’s. 2010 gt
@@bucksgarage1 do u have any experience with adjusting bands ?
Whats the name of the part mine is doing the exact same
Servo
What about a p1700 code
How do u take the servos out
There I'd a cir clip that you have to take out of the cap. I show it at 6:24 in this video.
Hey.. You never showed up what the tool looks like that you used to remove the C clamp in 6:22. Other than that, great video.
I used a pick and a screw driver.
@@bucksgarage1 Thank you.
P0775 and trans gear 2 false ratio. Am I screwed?
If you're not handy with tools, I would say probably.
@@bucksgarage1 damn. I did the timing chains and that about the extent of my knowledge. Feel like I could drop the trans...I really do
@Logistican518 if the other option is to scrap it I don't see why you wouldn't try. There is a really good rebuild video on RUclips for that trans.
I have the same problem
Do you need to drain the transmission fluid before pulling out the servo?
No
What Year You Explorer
03
What do you call these parts?
Servos
Good work. Could you help me with code p1700
The internet suggests you start with a trans fluid flush.
Thanks alot.
What's the name of the parts
They are servos
okay thank you very much
What tool do i need to remove the servo cover ? Part number?
I used a hooked pick, a screwdriver and a prybar. The retaining clip is pretty hard to get out but once it's out the rest pops out.
Watch from minute 39:50 to see how it works. ruclips.net/video/fKHmlJJPpe0/видео.html
@@bucksgarage1 thats what you used? Dont they have a tool to remove it do you have any pics of what you used
@@h22sparkle I'm not sure if there is a special tool. I was able to get the retaining clip off with a pick and screw driver and used a pry bar to push the cap in while I took the ring out.
@@bucksgarage1 ty i found a video on how to do it why not do a video on it but i appreciate your help greatly.
Don't you have to reeme that out and put a bushing in?
Yes if you have oil bypassing it. I had already rheemed it out and sleeved it when I rebuilt the trans a few months earlier.
Is it possible to install the bushings in vehicle?
I doubt it. The reamer I'd kinda long.
Better if u edited some time out and speak much faster sentences. It did help me have same issue. I think. We'll see.
I have been working on the editing. Thanks.
Great video.. only you never explained what a solenoid is .
Sorry about that. It is basically a plug that moves in and out, operated by fluid pressure. When pressure is applied to the plug it tightens a band and engages specific gears. When it breaks it will not engage the gears and you lose some functions ... like 2nd gear or reverse.
@@bucksgarage1 .. I have no idea what you're describing.
What is really the name of the part? Auto parts doesn’t know what is servo.
Just Google 5r55 servo and tons come up for sale. I highly doubt any parts stores would have them in stock.
RockAuto.com Has good parts for the $Money$
Tell her to make sure the vehicle is stopped completely before changing gears. Women have a problem with patience and they will do this. Theyll back out of a parking spot and put it in drive immediately before it stops. I learned if u make them pay for parts, which i make her get from dealership... then they stop driving so erratically lol
What kind of sexist imbecile believes such BS? You think road ragers are patient, or idiots speeding and hacking through traffic? I used to train cops, teaching says the opposite.
Lazy. Didn't change them both while you were down there the first time and now look... They sent you 2 for a reason.
They were both used parts bought off Ebay. It wasn't a lazy move. How can you guarantee which ones were better.
