What is the component in the upper right, once the glass is removed? I am guessing an antenna of some kind. Mine had faom with adhesive between the component and front glass, and resulted in pulling a layer of the component off (essentially splitting it in half, like opening a sandwich).
Thank you for this very helpful guide. Can I change the battery of my iPad A1823 wi-fi cellular in the same way or it is necessary a different way because of the antennas? Thank you.
Thank you. Guide was very helpful as I need to to install new batteries this old model and didn’t know how to open it since it does not have screws at the bottom. Awesome!
Thanks for the guide! Unfortunately, my iPad has some issues now. Hopefully, you can tell me how to fix it/where I made mistakes. Home button, lock button and volume up/down are not working anymore. When i fold my smartcover to the back, the iPad locks itself. The battery percentage doesn‘t seem to change and when I try to charge it, nothing happens (initially when I plugged it in, it booted like normal so I assume it‘s actually charging you just can‘t see it). Everything else seems to be working fine. Thanks for any help on this!
All these issues are separate. Battery charging is with the cable or battery, home button is a separate part, power and volume button flex is a separate part. When you open the device you can check all these issues easily.
Well if you are in Australia or Uk, you can get it. For other countries, we cannot post internationally due to the recent rules. Hope you understand it. Thanks
@@jhonjhon1740 at the time I was researching this it was but the battery, the hot plate, & one other thing that totaled about $100, the same price you would pay another to fix it (more or less). my tablet is still broken & the convenient option of asking the store I bought it to get it fix, now has a Fixed price of $300, more than buying a new tablet of the same brand. it's my money but i cant chose the option because my parents think they know best.

@@DIYGeardo you could’ve done the simple option of unscrewing the two bottom screws so you don’t risk your lcd panel. This guide had to have been made in 2013 like wtf who open their iPad or phone up through the screen anymore 😂

$20 for a battery. I don’t see how this is more expensive than an iPad.
