milad, you should open your own PR firm and have mom and pop shops around the country (or even the world!) hire you to make these kinds of 1st person POV videos to promote their shops and show their communities how hard they work to stay in business. it could be a really successful gig, and you could travel around and meet all kinds of people. plus, you might find what kind of career you'd like to have from those experiences :)

I remember I started watching because of the subway videos to empathize and relate to the struggles of working food service while also finding the enjoyable parts of it too. Eventually stopped watching for a while until I saw a random TikTok of people wasting food then you proceeding to deliver food to the homeless in response to that. That brought me back in. Subway was just the launching point to something greater for you to do. Good luck to whatever your future brings you!

Totally get where you are coming from. I worked at my moms bakery business for about 5 years after graduating high school. At the time,I felt obligated to help my mom because she desperately needed the help and it was my family’s livelihood at the time. So looking for my own job didn’t feel like a real option at the time. I really didn’t like working the job, but I put up with it, going to school part time because I couldn’t afford to do so full time. It wasn’t until later that I was given the freedom and financial support to pursue academics and find my own jobs and career to work towards. While I do like family owned businesses and try to support them, I really hope that the kids working for them aren’t being tethered to it or feel like they are. They should be allowed to have the freedom to make a name for themselves and pursue what they want to do without feeling guilty for leaving. Having that freedom has really helped me grow as a person and gain more opportunity. It’s too bad to hear that you’re time working at Subway wasn’t pleasurable, but I enjoyed the content you made while working there. Glad to see we both found happiness in leaving our family businesses. 😊

Totally know that feeling. Worked at Amazon as a delivery driver for about a year and the first few weeks were actually really fun, but then it just started going downhill. And like 4-5 months before I quit I all that was left in me was the hate I had for this job. And after I quit I and only then I was able to enjoy my life again. So it’s really good that in the end you listened to your feelings and looked for something else to fulfill you. I wish you the best of luck.

Man, money is not everything and I am glad to hear you figured that out long before I did. Here I am over 40 and finally figured that out. Wife and I are on our way to living our lives adventuring around the world soon, so we have been lucky in that regard. Did not make a ton of money in my youth, but did invest enough to semi retire early, outside the USA, but still I always wondered what would have happened had I invested sooner and been smarter about what real wealth is (my outlook on life definitely took a major hit). But in life we all know one thing and that it is too short to dread going to work everyday. I remember back during covid when I used to be so bored so I browsed for hours on RUclips. One day, I found this guy in my recommended and I watched him. After that I could never stop. The subway videos were unique, creative, and a type of content I have never seen before. This was back win Milad hit 700K subs. It's been quite a while.

We'll stay here no matter what content you make! That's not the important thing in this. The important thing is that you do what you think is best for yourself, and you should do something that makes you happy, or at least not something you dread. The best jobs are the ones that you enjoy, so they don't feel like work at all!

I’m leaving my job soon. I still do not have a clear picture on what I want to do, but this video brought me comfort knowing I rather be happy than become a resentful and depressed person.
It’s nice to see how accepting Milad’s community is, the fact that he actually decided to make this video only because of he knows that they are welcoming warms my heart.

I think you gave subway a new momentum in general. The first time I heard of them was when they became sponsors of my favorite tv show at a time, Chuck, and once they opened a branch in my hometown I was there every day. Prices going up 4x a month, among other things, led to a lot of branches to close in my country, including the one I used to go to. And I really enjoyed the space. I’d sit there with a rolling stone magazine and act as most people would on a… Starbucks? I’d plan classes while grabbing a meal. I’d read. Interact with workers. It was fun. Then it became unaffordable. Seeing your videos were honestly like bringing back memories. Through meal prepping I’ve got to know you as a person and sided with you. We all had a feeling that you were no longer a subway worker but yet most of us stayed because we ended up like engaging with you as a person. It wasn’t about subway anymore. I have no idea where you could work, and to be honest I wish I could transition to a new job myself, but I do hope you find something that respect your mental health and pays according to what you are worth. Work won’t always be fun, but it shouldn’t be demeaning or something that would block you from succeeding in life, non-work wise.

Glad you made a video finally after all this time. Before you left, you had made a lot of different content from a lot of different kitchens and I loved seeing all of them from behind the counter. However, to be honest, I subbed to you to listen to your take on day to day life. Idk if it was being a fast food worker or you just being wholesome, but your slice of life content is what sold it for me. Nothing adventurous or daring or crazy. It was calming, relatable and you low-key made me hungry, but it wasn't some cooking based channel.

I respect the decision. If you have options and aren't enjoying your current job, then take those options and move on for sure. I'm here because your stories are fun and the videos themselves show me the process of different jobs, which I think is pretty cool.
wow, now that I have finished this video I have thought about … well, pretty much that I have first watched your channel 3 months ago and it feels like I really missed that feeling of watching an on-going series on netflix because that‘s how it felt like watching your videos and I geniunely liked your humor added to this unique video-style. Totally know that feeling. Worked at Amazon as a delivery driver for about a year and the first few weeks were actually really fun, but then it just started going downhill. And like 4-5 months before I quit I all that was left in me was the hate I had for this job. And after I quit I and only then I was able to enjoy my life again. So it’s really good that in the end you listened to your feelings and looked for something else to fulfill you. I wish you the best of luck.

damn i feel you, a lot of my coworkers friends at subway watched your videos but they also got tired of subway and started quitting. Corporate is messing up real bad and the job is just more stressful for them. It's not same as it was before...

Man, money is not everything and I am glad to hear you figured that out long before I did. Here I am over 40 and finally figured that out. Wife and I are on our way to living our lives adventuring around the world soon, so we have been lucky in that regard. Did not make a ton of money in my youth, but did invest enough to semi retire early, outside the USA, but still I always wondered what would have happened had I invested sooner and been smarter about what real wealth is (my outlook on life definitely took a major hit). Thanks Milad for telling us the truth about this occupation. I quit my job as a medical practitioner last 3 years after 10 years in the field. It was not a easy decision. But in life we all know one thing and that it is too short to dread going to work everyday. Friends I’m not asking you to resign your job, no amount of money can buy happiness you just got to be wise.😊

@Chris Kane actually; I started planning for early retirement while i was still working, making about $2k a week from my investment portfolio while planning to build new side jobs and income. Best advice; never invest your life savings in a single asset.

I remember back during covid when I used to be so bored so I browsed for hours on RUclips. One day, I found this guy in my recommended and I watched him. After that I could never stop. The subway videos were unique, creative, and a type of content I have never seen before. This was back win Milad hit 700K subs. It's been quite a while.

We'll stay here no matter what content you make! That's not the important thing in this. The important thing is that you do what you think is best for yourself, and you should do something that makes you happy, or at least not something you dread. The best jobs are the ones that you enjoy, so they don't feel like work at all!

I was watching you for the subway content but honestly your entertaining enough for people to watch outside of the subway stuff so don't worry to much.
I’m leaving my job soon. I still do not have a clear picture on what I want to do, but this video brought me comfort knowing I rather be happy than become a resentful and depressed person.

I think you gave subway a new momentum in general. The first time I heard of them was when they became sponsors of my favorite tv show at a time, Chuck, and once they opened a branch in my hometown I was there every day. Prices going up 4x a month, among other things, led to a lot of branches to close in my country, including the one I used to go to.
And I really enjoyed the space. I’d sit there with a rolling stone magazine and act as most people would on a… Starbucks? I’d plan classes while grabbing a meal. I’d read. Interact with workers. It was fun. Then it became unaffordable. Seeing your videos were honestly like bringing back memories. Through meal prepping I’ve got to know you as a person and sided with you. We all had a feeling that you were no longer a subway worker but yet most of us stayed because we ended up like engaging with you as a person. It wasn’t about subway anymore. I have no idea where you could work, and to be honest I wish I could transition to a new job myself, but I do hope you find something that respect your mental health and pays according to what you are worth. Work won’t always be fun, but it shouldn’t be demeaning or something that would block you from succeeding in life, non-work wise.

Glad you made a video finally after all this time. Before you left, you had made a lot of different content from a lot of different kitchens and I loved seeing all of them from behind the counter. However, to be honest, I subbed to you to listen to your take on day to day life. Idk if it was being a fast food worker or you just being wholesome, but your slice of life content is what sold it for me. Nothing adventurous or daring or crazy. It was calming, relatable and you low-key made me hungry, but it wasn't some cooking based channel.
