I am so sorry for your loss. I lost a pet shortly before my son was born in 2013. One of my friends told me that it takes a special kind of courage to love an animal. You know from the outset that you will most likely outlive them. Yet we love like we are not afraid of being hurt. Never regret loving a cat. Our lives are better for it.
We lost our little purrbaby of 14 years this July, our hearts go out to you, it's good to know Kerby will live on in our thoughts, and in our code. Cheers KK.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my cat recently as well had him for 16 years. It's so hard and the only thing I have felt comfort in, is when my wife told me "you loved him more than anyone would. He was so lucky to have you as you gave him the best life he could have ever hoped for." Our time is always limited, be grateful for the times you had and know that she loved you as much as she could. Because clearly, you loved her just as much. RIP kerby.
sucks when a family member passes i concider pets as family members RIP kirby you will be missed i remember seeing kirby in some of the episodes in the background such a pretty kitty Sorry for the loss to the hak 5 family the memories will always be there and just remember kirby will be watching over you guys much love and have a good day Chris F from missouri
I'm so sorry Darren. Went through the same recently (20yo cat), so I know the pain and the sorrow. Been a fan & follower ever since the early beginnings.
Man oh man those end scenes brought back some memories. I never realized just how long Kerby was there, or how long I had been watching the show for. From Matt Lestock, to Evil Server, to the Wall frame computers, so many memories.
Sorry to hear about Kerby :( Always sad to see a member of the family to pass on. Though look up and remember all the good times and hold onto that. :) Good show all :)
Just a heads up.. After (I think) the Windows 10 Creator Update earlier this year, Internet Explorer (iexplore.exe) is no longer installed by default. You have to manually enable it from within the "Manage Optional Features" settings menu which is a sub-menu of the "Apps & Features" menu found in the Control Panel.
WHOA. As I hit the 'reply' button I heard my name get mentioned in the video about a comment I left a few episodes back. Awesome! Haha. Glad I could provide some input to the show!
@hak5darren, @Snubs, Sorry to hear about @hak5kerby...Our pets bring us so much comfort, laughter, and even surprise us with the craziest things they do. Pets are like family in the hearts of those who appreciate the most. Maybe, just maybe, when a little time passes, the @hak5 team might consider adopting a new kitty and be named "Kerby 2.0", aka hak5kerby2! Best wishes my friends, and keep doing the great work that we all appreciate! CJ
I hope celebrating Kerby's life in code and producing the five minute montage gave you some solace. I know I would be balling in tears and chuckles producing a memorial for any one of my "furry red team pentesters." ( Rescue cats are such masters at physical security breach.) Hugs to you all at Hak5
Sorry for the loss of Kerby. It looks like she was an integral part of the show. In my experience, the best way to deal with the loss of a beloved cat is to adopt two new cats, preferably black ones (because black cats are always the last ones to be adopted). You can never replace them, but you can commemorate their life by helping a couple new cats find a loving home.
Hmm, I've never tried anything with _xinput_ - but is that the method they would've used on my old schools unix terminals - where one physical computer had 2 screens, 2 mice, 2 keyboards, and could have 2 people using it simultaneously but completely independently? I'd assumed it was a special version of unix, but if there's a capability to enable that sort of functionality with modern linux builds.... that'd be cool.
Talking about xinput. Do you know any tutorials or scripts to get auto screen rotation working in Linux (Mint)? I tried a script, but monitor-sensor is not returning any value, so I can't call xrandr according to the orientation.
It would be good if there was a proper editor that showed syntax errors etc. Rather than just using notepad. Also sorry for your loss. Looked like a good cat. 🐈
Sad to hear Kerby has passed on. IS there something with that style of mustaches going on? There are people on other youtube channels that have that going on .
make it into a C++ program with codes embedded into the data statements then compile it using GCC into machine code which makes it much smaller except for the data statements will take up more space but to cover your tracks use base 64 to encode the data statements into gobbledegook which will be decoded back into data statements when run and squirted into your quarries computer. like jzz equals 0xffff
