- New piano cover: I See the Sky-the soundtrack to the 2023 Netflix survival film Society of the Snow, an adaptation of Pablo Vierci’s book ‘La sociedad de la nieve’. The story is based on the 1972 Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571 disaster in the Andes Mountains, where crash survivors Nando Parrado, Roberto Canessa, Numa Turcatti and many others “overcame the impossible by doing the unthinkable”.
Having previously read both Piers Paul Read’s ‘Alive’ as well as Parrado’s ‘Miracle in the Andes', I thought the movie was nothing short of a sensational and vivid adaptation.
Music composed by Michael Giacchino.
The scene where Numa pushes his way out of the fuselage is amazing and the music fits perfectly.
