  • According to the CDC, about a third of American children now have some form of cosmetic defects in their tooth enamel due to fluoride exposure, known as dental fluorosis, a side effect of water fluoridation.
    This is the second video in a five-part series on water fluoridation. If you missed the first one, see Why Is There Fluoride in Water? Is It Effective? (nutritionfacts.org/video/why-.... The rest of the series is coming soon:

    There is also the issue of the source of the fluoride . Is there a difference to our health?

    • @oskariKN25
      @oskariKN25 29 дней назад

      What does this even mean? There is cyanogen fluoride which is a toxic explosive gas. So yes there are forms of fluoride we probably shouldnt put into our bodies, tooth pastes use sodium fluoride, sodium fluorophosphate and stannous fluoride, if we want to nitpick stannous fluoride which has tin, is the worst one when it comes to our health due to tin being toxic, however the amount is so low you get more toxic elements from your food, just dont swallow the paste like a toddler.

    Don't forget thyroid disease.
    "Conclusions: Overall, exposure to high-fluoride drinking water appears to non-linearly affect thyroid function and increase TSH release in children, starting above a threshold of exposure, and to increase the risk of some thyroid diseases."

    • @tamcon72
      @tamcon72 29 дней назад +1

      Many years ago, I developed hypothyroidism fairly suddenly--no precursors in the years prior to onset of typical hypothyroid symptoms--after a year of drinking excessive, unbeknownst-to-me highly flouridated tap water. Could have been coincidental, but given that I had no thyroid problems at all before this, and everything else, including diet, was constant, I assume there was some correlation between the tap water consumption and the thyroid dysfunction. My hypothyroidism was not responsive to thyroid meds, to the puzzlement of my endocrinologists, and only corrected after many months of avoiding all fluoridated beverages and dental care products, specifically, which I did on the advice of an alternative practitioner whom I viewed with a bit of skepticism. Afterwards, I thought my recovery was very odd if the fluoride had nothing to do with my disorder.

    Fluoride and iodine are both halogens. The fluoride, the negative ion of the element fluorine easily displaces iodine in the body because it is much lighter and therefore more reactive. In fact the activity of any one of the halogens is inversely proportion to its atomic weight.

I have been drinking the hibiscus tea for a long time based on your knowledge, however I recently stopped all tea intake to the studies that say all tea herbal or not, both in free form or tea bags has a very very high amount of those forever chemicals like found in teflon. Natural vs. Artificial ingredients
    This is the most misleading additive of them all. The type naturally occurring is recognized by living organisms for what it is and to a great degree regulated accordingly. The compounds added to water however are industrial waste products from the aluminum industry that when disposed of in the environment create havoc. So de-villainizing was in order.

      What did you fall into a vat of concentrated fluoride? How do you even test that? Did you test your tap water heavy metal contents? Did you start drinking flitered tap water? Did you stop using all forms of fluorinated products? Did you stop drinking water? American tap water has more problems than just fluoride you might have just been experiencing ionic copper toxicity which is quite common in certain areas of the world with copper piping and without pvc socked piping.

    • @blackprincegt
      @blackprincegt 29 дней назад +2

      @@oskariKN25 yes, I have stopped and started all identifiable contact with fluoride for extended periods of time a number of times in my life. Filtering and remineralising my water and switching out fluoride tooth pastes have been the main strategies.
      My perception has been that using Fluoride toothpaste only isn’t as bad as consuming fluoridated water where the impact may be more systemic. Over time though, the difference can be felt.
