Oh such a sad case, especially 100 years later with no real conclusion... :(
It’s such a small world too, I live in AZ, but my mother and grandfather are buried in the same cemetery as this little boy is (Prairie Home Cemetery). Next time I go to visit my family’s gravesite, I will search for this sweet boy’s gravestone and spend some time with him letting him know he is never forgotten. 💜
beautiful...
I wish I could send him a little crown. Little lord forever 🙏🏽💓😢 please send him love from me in Glasgow 🏴 mizpah young lord x
@@Aal-2447 I certainly will!! I’ll bring something sweet to lay on his gravestone💕
@@GenXfrom75 thank you ❤️💜
That is sweet of you.
The Captain who put in the leg work to actually GO to Argentina and look for any passports, articles, or information relating to the claims of Homer's death is a legend.
I wonder if this is another one of those scams that was super popular in the Victorian era and a little later. Where someone agrees to take care of someone's child and the parent will pay them. They usually claim the child will be well taken care of and get a good education. And so the parent agrees and then the guardian harms the child and continues to collect a paycheck from the parents for awhile before disappearing
Poor little guy died unknown and unclaimed at only 6 years old. I do think that it was just a very tragic accident and that perhaps he was with a single parent who had maybe mental issues and could not cope with the loss. maybe she took her own life in grief and so the whole tragic affair just petered out. A DNA close relatives procedure might produce something but as you say all possible relatives have most likely passed. You covered it so professionally and sensitively and I thank you.
Gab: This case is nearly 100 years old.
Me: Wow, that's old.
Gab: It happened in 1921.
Me: Wait, WHAT??? *has existential crisis about time*
Lmao riiiight?!
Exactly! My first thought of something being hundred years old makes me think of the late 1890s era. I'm getting so old :/

@@youneverseeanoldmaneatinga7416 you may never see an old man eating a twix, but if you look hard enough you'll see one eating a kit kat.
I feel that when people talk about a 100 years ago, they are talking about the 19th century and nope: it's early 20th century!!!!
Homer appears to have dark, straight hair. The little boy found had curly blond hair. I tend to think they aren't the same boy. I also have the feeling that he was accidentally killed, possibly, and whoever did it feared they'd be (rightly) held responsible- and rather than facing the consequences, decided to get rid of the body. Just my opinion.
Yes, I agree!
Agree and also agree with gabby. I dont think he was from the area. Someone would have recognized him if he was.
Yep my absolute thoughts too
Agree but you also can't rule it out. The person who killed him might could have dyed the hair. As weird as it sounds. People have done that to lead police on the wrong track
@AKIRA ASMR I didn't say "black", I said "dark." And you can see that. It isn't blond, like the curly blond hair of the boy they found.
I appreciate how you bring vintage cases, I know finding information must be hard to find. How you give so much dignity and respect to the victim no matter the cause of death. Thank you for your hard work and the respect. Love and respect from West Texas
Thank you for covering this case. I have heard the phrase "Little Lord Fauntleroy" but never knew where it came from or what it's meaning was. What a very sad case.
It's very sad when it involves children... this is like a double case, because there's a John Doe and a double disappearance.
There are very interesting cases in the XIX and the early XX centuries:
Rahway murder in 1887.
William Morgan disappearance in 1826.
Bobby Dunbar disappearance un 1912.
Even the mysterious death of Mary Rogers in 1841, that inspired Poe to write a short story.
I have never heard of this case, thank you for bringing it to light. After hearing all the facts that you supplied in your video I believe that maybe the little boy could be Homer. May he rest in peace🕊
I visit Little Lord Fauntleroy's grave regularly ♡
I just discovered your channel! And I was surprised to see someone talk about this case. I grew up in Waukesha and lived there until my mid-20s. This is a mystery that’s haunted me, well, since I was a kid. I know that quarry (now Waukesha Lime and Stone) and that cemetery. I know the story and I have my suspicions. I think the body should be exhumed and a new autopsy should be performed. Any new evidence (DNA, etc.) gathered might lead to solving this case once and for all.
I've always enjoyed doing comparisons on sketches & photos. In trying to determine an identity, look at the shape of the lips & ears, they're almost like fingerprints, no two people are the same, especially in the ears.
Hi Gabby! Love from Texas. This story I've never heard of, and I've heard a lot. I don't think it's just a coincidence that this boy turned up about the time that the other went missing. If I had the money, I'd have him exhumed & a DNA run. It's incredibly sad no one claimed his little body. Bless his heart 💙
The woman who wore the veil who sat by the grave, why didn't the police take her in and question her? Weird.
I moved to Waukesha from Milwaukee in 1977 when I was 9, after my mom married my stepdad. It's called Waukesha Lime and Stone Company for a long time. We used to drive by there all the time when driving to interstate 94. There's a fence along the quarry (along Redford blvd) so people don't go in there. It's a giant deep hole and you wouldn't want to climb the fence and fall down, it's over 200 feet deep at one point. Nice video about local history.
First time watching your channel. I'm also a Gabi! Glad I have a new channel to binge. This reminds me of the "Boy in The Box" case. This is really sad.
I love how you have a theme for each month! So refreshing and original. Awesome content ghoul friend 🖤
OMG...i live in waukesha...i was very shocked to here u say it,,cuz u actually said it correctly,,anytime I talk to someone(on the phone, etc) and they try to say the name they get it wrong,,im not sure why..but I have actually heard this story before!! Thanks for covering it!!
Even if it has been 100 years this little boy still deserves to have his name back. And it's possible that maybe someone's parent, grandparent, or great-grandparent told a story about their sibling suddenly going missing so the family might still be curious.
Ik my grandmother talked about this like 16-22 yr old cousin who got all into the mob or something in like the 1930s and he just vanished. They think he got killed because if whatever shady business he was in. We still have a pic of him from when he was a little boy and I cant help but wonder what happened to him.
Hello Gabby, I love your videos, I am visually impaired and I love all the detail that you always put into your videos. I don’t think this little boy just fell and hit his head and drowned because no one ever reported him missing, such a sad story
Very sad case...to think that a child was never missed by his family =( This is definitely one that I had never heard of, so good job in researching. Love watching your videos my beautiful friend!
Great 👍 work on his story, Gabby! I always look forward to your new videos. Take care and stay safe.
I read once that their are some legal matters with exhuming young Jane and John Doe's. Read a few times that is why the Boy in the Box has never had genealogy DNA run. It is a process that is facing some legal issues which I am sad about being that my dad is a retired lawyer.
@Nichole Alderfer It's my understanding that the Boy in the Box was exhumed in 1998 and DNA was collected from one of his teeth. There were also some news articles a couple of years ago which said that Barbara Rae-Venter (the genetic genealogist who worked on the Golden State Killer case) was working to find out the identity of The Boy in the Box, but I haven't heard anything else about it since.
Oh jeez, I’d heard the name “Little Lord Fauntleroy” before but assumed it was the title of some classic book I’d never read. Poor kid. Maybe a genetic genealogy company like Parabon Nanolabs could help in the future.
"Little Lord Fauntleroy" *is* the name of a children's book that was popular at the time this child was found. Frances Hodgson Burnett wrote it. It's old enough that it's probably available for free to read on the internet. 🙂
Hey I've just came across your channel & after watching a few videos I've definitely sub'd to you, that was a sad story & had me gripped till the end, I've got plenty of videos to watch & keep me busy for a while & hope you keep up the good work your doing & will look forward to your next video soon. If the boy was described before being cleaned up his hair could have had curl.People also discribe blonde hair of all shades. My mom was blonde, mousey blonde, dirty blonde. So exactly who knows the color of hair.
IKR? Blond hair that's dirty or wet can look pretty brown, too...

Waukesha - that's minutes from where I live and have lived my whole life! I've never heard of this before!
Can I just say I love the lip color. So excited for new video you find such amazing cases and interesting to learn about the case and the time period and location it occurred
Love your channel and I’m glad you’re doing all these October that’s a great theme💯❤️😎
"Almost 100 years ago," you said. And I thought 1901. It shocked me when you said 1921. It doesn't seem like 100 years ago to me. It really doesn't feel like almost a century since my parents were born. While respecting the repose of the dead is important, it would be interesting to know if the poor little boy could find family by having his DNA checked.
This reminds me of the boy in the box. Who was found in Fox Chase in Phila,pa I believe in February 1959.
An old disappearance is Nan Dixon in the Arizona desert. She was never found but a few things that were found in her car hinted at murder. There's a RUclips video done by her grandson, still looking for answers
Yes!! Please do @Gabulosis!
If your interested in Nan Dixon, theres a RUclips channel called " Explore with us" that did one or two videos on Nan. They also did a video of someone who got lost in the desert and the police wouldn't help her. It was a more current situation and I feel for anyone who needs police in that area
Love the black lips !! Been binge watching your channel last couple days
So he’s the guy version of Lori Vallow?
Hi Gabby, this was a great one, I really enjoyed it. Thank you. I actually didn't know about this case. 😎💕
Ahh I clicked on this on a whim and did NOT expect it to have taken place in my hometown. Gave me a nice little heart attack there
can you cover the case of rahway jane doe 1887?
It's pronounced Font el roy not font le roy. Minor thing but just something I noticed. These old cases are so fascinating and sad.
'Ello, just found your Channel and subscribed.
He deserves to be known
i think he should be helped cause even if he is old case he still mattered
and the weirdness of the clothes gets me
I'm not convinced the child was an American.
He is from Moldova
It's so sad to know that the case still remain unsolved. But yeah, I think money power work in this case. I mean, maybe the boy was accidentally killed. And he was from a wealth family. Maybe his parents or member of his family killing him. Then, there's no one from the family came to tell the truth.
Who knows? Many other possibility can happen to this case.
Even if this case still remain unsolved, I hope the boy rest in peace.
LOVE YOUR HAIR! 🥰
How can that be the same boy, in the beginning you said he had blonde curly hair, this one doesn’t have curly hair that’s for sure. It’s a different turn of events.
We identified the Boy in the Box. I hope we can identify this baby.
EXCELLENT JOB! Sad case.
At this stage of the game the only chance of obtaining an ID would have to be through genetic genealogy. Time to give Parabon a call.
100 years really isn't that long ago. Think how fast ten years go by!
Gabby, I think your estimate of extreme DNA research cost is off. My cousins and I did our DNA which I think came back with an average amount of DNA matches, three of which we found were adopted people looking for parents. Simply using amount of info they were given about adoptions, amount of DNA, location and age-range one of my cousins took it as a challenge and was able to give the names of two of the likely parents (deceased now) and tell them how they related to our family.
Interesting! I really enjoy old cases.
Oh, as a request, Patricia and Barbara Grimes or Betsy Aardsma
I wonder why the expensive clothing detail was not pursued?
At the end you say this was a time before TV but at the beginning he say this is the year the first baseball game was broadcast
The amount of lipsticks you've influenced me to buy is getting out of hand
Is there no chance of exhuming the body. They could try running DNA find distant relatives. I feel so terrible when its a baby doe... So unfair.
Um, did they search the north lake that they searched the 1st time by mistake after her supposed suicide?
This case is 103 years old now.😢
I feel like Homer and the drawing of the unknown boy look very similar. The nose looks the same to me.
If he was well dressed and well taken care of, maybe someone hurt his family and killed the boy too or maybe someone killed his mom and later killed the boy.
My money would be on it little Homer I may be wrong it wouldn't be the first time. They pictures of the child or children have the same mouth. The one thing that it might not be Homer is they said the late child had blonde hair & the picture of Homer his hair looks dark on the other hand it's a black & white picture.
Homer was Ruby's kid. This by far ain't the first time a male killed one or two children with his wife present. There is a case where a male took two boys to a rural area and murdered them while his wife stood and watched and both were witnessed walking away with the female crying. Some parents find it very convenient to get rid of their children. They should obtain DNA. The authorities turned their backs on justice for Homer.
Homer wasn't Ruby's kid. He was Edmond's first wife's, who died in 1919.
No wonder why you waited to inform me. Show me documentation.
I think the boy was killed possibly by accident and the rich parents paid to have someone take the body far away. It could also be the clothing was to throw people off.
Trying to compare these two pictures is very hard. Its not even a picture and homers ears are covered by his hair. I would have liked to see his ear form and his ear lobes to compare it to the found boy.
I have a strong feeling Homer is the little Lord . It’s heart breaking he was killed and left to rot . Anyone who could do that to a child has to have the blackest of souls
The pic of the dead boy is not Homer, their hair type is different, Homer did not have curly hair..I once had curly hair as a young boy, not anymore, I’m an old man now, haha!, anyway, I would say that is not homer!
Looking at the sketch and the picture the mouths are identical. Right down to the dip underneath. I think it is Homer.
Sorry to be an arse but O'Laughlin is pronounced as O'Lochlin (Anglicized form of Gaelic).
so weird!!! i’m from waukesha
How could he rest in peace when no one knows who he is and what happened to him?!
I don't think it's Homer, the hair is completely opposite of Homer's and the eye shape looks different. They just don't look the same to me. Homer was probably killed by his father but this little one isn't him I don't think
Edmund looks scary
Well I’m glad I’ve never said Fontleroy aloud because I was wrong.
The "Boy in the Box" case is one that this case reminds me of. The Boy in the Box case really haunts me.
Yes I thought the same thing too.It is very similar to The Boy In The Box Case
Wish both cases could be solved. 😔
I'm glad there are many people like us who remember them now.
I thought the same thing as well.
They're both strangely similar, yet opposites. Little Lord Fauntleroy showed evidence of being well taken care of before his murder, The Boy in the Box showed signs of continued abuse before his, but both were killed and thrown aside like garbage...both equally horrifying 💔
The story is so sad and my heart feel for the boy
Me too as soon as I soon as I see “boy in the box” or any variation of this words together I can see his face
100+ years on, or not, this little boy deserves his name and story told. They found out who that jerk in the cave in Idaho, I think, was. He was a horrible person who didn't deserve his identity. But this little boy does.
I wish I was a millionaire and my money would definitely go towards to a lot of cold unsolved cases just like this one.
I wish that is all it took to solve cold cases.
@@waynefeller8824 Money isn't all it takes to solve a case but it sure helps give cases a better chance at getting solved.
People only say this before they have the money
Yup
This mystery could easily be solved by extracting DNA from the little boy and from Edmond. Compare the two. To see if indeed this is little Homer.
You say that, but clearly dont know much about forensics or DNA. Its very possible theres no DNA left. Unless the body has stayed in decent enough condition for over 100 years that DNA is degraded and gone.
@@russianvalkyrie2358 I believe in the cases of skeletal remains, they extract DNA from large bones (eg femur).
@@russianvalkyrie2358 DNA can be extracted from bodies thousands of years old.
@@russianvalkyrie2358 maybe they can use that remaining in his teeth.
Su Taraskiewicz's vintage case of 28yrs ago is interesting. She'd been experiencing a lot of sexual harassment at work for being the 1st woman crew manager at Logan airport for northwest airlines. Shortly after bringing it to people's attention, she was found stabbed & stuffed in the trunk of her car. Her family believes her murder is work related & yet, 28yrs later, its still unsolved. Maybe you'd find a little more info on this case for your channel?
up
Such a tragic case. She was treated awfully at work :( there were some VERY dodgy men working with her.
That needs to be on this channel. I've seen a documentary on it. The poor woman 😰💓
Edmunds eyes look chilling, if anyone's description looks dodgy it's his... Children and women got treated terribly in those days... 💙
Were you there?
Hi Gabby very sad and interesting story of little lord Fauntleroy. I can’t believe this was a 99 years cold case. My dad is 98. Wow I hope his cold case will be able to be solved with today’s DNA testing. Stay well and safe 🙏😷
This case is so interesting, sad that we might never get some answers to that :(
Don’t give up hope. Genetic genealogy might find any living biological relatives and thus we can identify him. Perhaps there’s a family that had a relative and young male relative who ceased all contact with them around the time Little Lord Fauntleroy was found. Also an isotope analysis could help identify where he grew up which would make it a bit easier to find his family, assuming his family didn’t move away.
Absolutely. But I unfortunately feel the same about tooo msny unsolved cases
My family tree has a child on it that nobody seems to know anything about. He was listed on a census in the 1930s. He left with his never do well father and is listed on the father's obituary. Nobody knows who the mother was though or what happened to him. Did he die? Was he adopted? Did he disappear?? He would be my great half uncle if he is still alive. These are the genealogy mysteries many families hope to solve one day.
@@TheCinder24 I wonder if they’re gonna upload his dna! But u should def consider putting your dna in the website just in case. It would be crazy if little lord is the mystery little boy in your family?
My grandmother 4th of 13 was born 6 months after this boys death. They lived in the area, and grew up with tales of little Lord fauntleroy. Such as warnings about swimming in ponds an quarry alone, this is what happens to children who misbehave, ect...yes, it was another time, and lots of crazy stories were used to keep kids in line back then. Hence the origin of many wives tales, and urban legend. My mom was also born near there, and too heard the stories. Fast forward to 77 the year I was born and again to the mid 80s were we then lived and I grew up in AZ, as did my little brother. Both of us blond hair blue eyes (brother) hazel (me) my mother was OCD about child abduction at the time, and there were many stories then of groups wanting kids with light eyes and blonde hair. My grandmother would visit and say..."be careful, you dont want to end up like little Lord Fauntleroy". It was years later till I even knew what she was talking about. The real story is very sad, and thousands of kid grew up with warped versions of this child's fate, as tales of caution.
I remember being told the same thing about Adam Walsh when I was little.
Different times. Take a look at the ORIGINAL fairy tales Disney drew from. Most were written by The Brothers Grimm. Talk about a different time.😲
Looking at the sketch & photo, I definitely believe Homer is the victim. Hopefully the county that his body is in will exhume him for DNA to upload. At this point, it would be to establish his identity rather than solve the case, but that's equally important. I'm seeing so many True Crime RUclipsrs post about cases being solved or victims identified in 2020 with DNA or new technology. The oldest one I personally saw was about 97 years old. I always have hope!
I agree with you. I'm a 55 year old retired RN and I can see significant similarities between the two pictures. The lower part of the face and jaw including the way the lips droop at the edges is similar in both pictures. You need to take into account that the boy had been in water and deceased for a period of time so the changes that death causes are not going to give you identical side by side portraits as shown The light in the studio where the photo of Homer was taken mean that the boy dragged from the quarry was going to have hair that appeared to be lighter than Homer's because of post mortem changes and light. The hair of the deceased boy was also much longer and I know from my own 5 children that the hair colour in photos isn't a match with their actual hair colour. Enough said about that. A forensic pathologist would be able to take scematics and use a computer program to determine cranial dimensions and vault size. I hope that there is a wealthy person out there that would fund the forensics needed to identify the deceased boy and give him back his name. I'd offer but I haven't the funds. Homer vanished without a trace but I think he's been hidden in plain sight ever since his burial. I believe that his killer, his very own father, has and is and always will be getting his just desserts in Hell. Long may he suffer! So very sad that it was his mother who died and not his murdering father. I'd love to hear that in 2021 a full 100 years after his death that this case is solved and a new headstone placed on the boy's grave. May you continue to rest in peace Homer. You have not been forgotten.
The similarities are identical. The mouth structure alone. Really surprised he hasn't had anyone look into this more.
@@michellesartori6695 just read your comment and agree completely!
Except Homer had dark straight hair and the other boy had curly blond. Don’t get me wrong the face of Homer and the scotch are so uncanny the mouth and eyes.
Why not have someone who dose Genealogy DNA take a swing at cracking the case, there could be matchs from distant cousins or great Aunts / uncles
You read my mind. I'm thinking someone local Willbe a distant relative.
Someone would have to fund that. The government won’t at this point. It’s very expensive.

I'm going to say he is Homer. They should run the DNA through the database just for the slightest chance he will at least be identified.
It's definitely Homer. I find it very coincidental that Homer mysteriously disappeared a few months before the discovery of the unidentified young boy.
@@devontamosley4487 Exactly
My thoughts on the DNA, it would interesting!
Homer had dark straight hair this boy had curly blonde hair
@@richiethev4623 It's possible that the killer(s) must've alter Homer's appearance before killing him and discarding him, so that way no one would able to recognize him.
Wow, 1921 is obviously a long time ago but when it's put into the perspective of being the year that baseball was first broadcast it really hits different. 😅
This is going to sound so weird but I've missed your channel and I'm so glad to be watching again. I took a mental break from true crime because it was really causing a lot of sadness and anxiety. I've allowed myself to watch only certain true crime youtubers a few times a week and your channel had to be in that list because of how much care and respect you show to each case 💕
The only thing keeping me from believing that Homer and the boy are the same person is the hair. Yes the hair could have been bleached but if his hair had been curled it wouldn’t have stayed curled getting wet and then being washed post mortem. My Grammy got her hair permed religiously once a month and had appointments to help keep the curls and when she was dying it was strange to see her hair almost completely straight because as long as I could remember it had been curly.
This disappearance is one that always intrigued me. I have researched I couple of times and I never get tired of looking into it.
So Edmund killed his wife and son, took her fortune and lived free and wealthy. No karma
i got a strong impression, when you mentioned the young couple looking for their child, near the quarry. maybe the child wandered away from a picnic /camp site, and fell into the quarry, hitting his head. he does look similar, though, to homer. i'm not saying that that guy wasn't responsible for the wife's disappearance. but, the child becomes an iffy.
@@beadyeye2312 given the times, economically, maybe the guy convinced the woman that 'it was for the best blah blah blah', and she went along with the guy, for awhile. then the guy could have gotten more twisted, and started threatening her, which caused her to move away, assume a new identity (back then, you could do that super easily.) and, didn't claim the body, because 'it could have been a ruse, by the crazy ex, to get her to come out of hiding, to hurt her'. this would also validate the 'woman in black, who left flowers on the grave'.
@@beadyeye2312 i agree that it's speculation. but, jobs weren't as plentiful everywhere, during that era. coming out of the dustbowl, the midwest was struggling, economically. but, your point is taken.
The story about the young couple needs to be looked into more.
I agree, he was "ditched" from out of town. Sad case.
Thank you for presenting this case, it's always fascinated me. And now I have to reread the book - it's no Secret Garden but I still love it :-)
PS - Your opening - bravo!!!! Soooo good!
there is a case, i would say early to mid 80's i think it was in Biloxi Miss. the Victims name was Charlie Tucker, Its never been solved he was shot in the back of his head. I have some in site to this case that came from my Dad who died 3 years ago today Charlie was my Dads best Friend.
Thank you! I believe it is important to recall real history. This is it. He was someones son. He never got home. Technology of the time did not help either.
We will remember him. Cheers!
Exhume the body and run a DNA analysis. He may very well be homer, but if he isn't there may still be family that would want some closure.
Maybe do a story on the Irene Garza murder in Edinburg, Texas in 1960.
Love you, keep up the great work!
Why does it cost so much money to get the boys DNA?
@@7614Kids 99 year old corpse which was likely embalmed so special procedures.
Here’s what I think, although it’s a long shot. illegitimate child of a wealthy family, probably of the wife. The child was raised in secret. Husband found out and killed the boy. The wife lived, though, but couldn’t go public with it as it would have been shameful. Hence why we see a woman coming to his grave to mourn.
Eh , a wife can’t hide a pregnancy and back then could claim the child as the husband’s without today’s dna technology. You’re theory is good, except far more likely to be the husband’s illegitimate child. Especially because a husband would have an easier time supporting a child on the sly.
20 years is vintage now?
Wow... I guess I’ve been vintage for years.🥴🤣
The Little Lord Fauntleroy case is one of just many, many murders of children that tugs on the heart strings so painfully. Like Babes in the Woods, it bothers us greatly that little lives, with so much potential, are wiped out prematurely. That it could have been one ir both of their caretakers in these stories makes them truly wretched to anyone with the slightest bit of empathy.
