You can still resign player in free agency and other teams players but it adds difficulty as in order to sign good player you will probably have to overpay

Day 22 of commenting this rebuild idea: make an expansion team and follow these rules. You can take 1 player from each team but the teams get to protect their starter roster. This roster would be qb1, rb1/2, wr1/2/3, te1/2, each starter on the oline, le1, re1, dt1/2, lolb1, rolb1, mlb1/2, cb1/2/3, ss1, fs1, k1, and p1. You'll then have a 32 man roster that you can fill by signing free agents. But your team is a new team on a low budget so you can only sign free agents to 1 year deals starting preseason week 1. However you resign whichever players you want for however long you want. You can also make whatever trades you want. For the draft you let the cpu pick to spice things up. You end the vid once you win a super bowl.

Here's a tip that I would recommend to you Brandon if you want to have a good pass rusher. I've found that through experimentation that if you were to trade for Drew Sanders from the Broncos and develop him at outside linebacker so he develops as a pass rusher but make him the starting middle linebacker on normal downs and have him be an edge rusher on third downs he gets a ton of sacks, TFLs, and general tackles and he develops very well and will often win rookie of the year mainly beating out Will Anderson a lot. If you were to do this for his rookie and sophomore years he can easily win awards like best linebacker and will quickly develop into a superstar x-factor which in turn makes him an even better pass rusher.

you should do a rebuild where you are the jaguars (idk why, just picked a random team, you can do any team they are just a suggestion) and you can only draft offensive players and only sign defense through free agency. No fantasy draft.

Hey brandon have you ever considered modding madden and using the start today mod for the most realistic experience, + there is a mod that removes xp and replaces it with a progression season that makes it more realistic and removes maddens unideal linear progression system, adding actual randomness.

Start a 0 overall team. Don't touch it and sim 10 years from there and start from there (Maybe check out some weird stats before starting)
Yo i do rebuilds just for fun and i started nerfing the chiefs and cowboys by changing like pat mahomes to a punter. Really helps with more random sb and yearly awards. Plus they will be good again in a couple seasons anyway cause they are broken.
