I went to Joann and had their store on my app with the yarn order number. The manager was able to go to the exact box and get the yarn for me. They have that information, perhaps they don’t have the time to go get it.
My Joan’s in Ontario, Ohio is amazing. Never boxes on floor. We have the new stuff too. Come for a visit! Now when I order online I get things cancelled sometimes.

Love the Lucky Brand yarn as well. They released a cotton/acrylic blend that feels like a really soft suede. Says fine 2 but actually works up like 3-4. Made a FL scarf and love it. If you get a chance, try the Winter cakes in spiral labeled fine #2 actually more of DK. Feels anti pilling with long color stripes.

Our Joann's that's closest to us has boxes everywhere you can barely get through the isles. One isle is completely blocked with boxes. I took pictures to share too. When I was in line to check out, I talked to a lady who had been to the Joann's about 15 miles north and it was spotless. Who knows???😢
I bought some of this yarn. I bought the gray and the cream and I have the burgundy in my cart. It looks really nice crochet up. I made hats and scarf sets out of the gray and a shawl out of the cream.

I worked for JoAnns. They buy the product and then they need to sale what they have already paid for. The only thing is that there district manager is the one from corporate they tell you to move the stock out on the floor. But after the holidays They cut down on workers. So there is only 3 people every day the next big holiday. So the stores are a mess all year.
If you use the wrapped grinch green with the red lollipop bag deal for 7.50 a bag on Premier, you can make "grinch scarves and hats". I had gotten the Grinch Green and thought the same thing (what am I going to do with this, prettier online) Love the cranberry and Pine mountain grey mix. I have pretty much stopped shopping at Michael’s because the yarn is too expensive and the sales are lousy. Joann’s order and pickup with extra 25% coupon seems to be my go to these days. I like Herrschners but lately they haven’t had any really good deals. I have to buy super sale yarn because my makes go to charity and it’s the only way I can do it. I did buy some of those Premier Fashion Plus bags at $5 after seeing you open them. Fingers crossed I get some good stuff! ❤️🧶

My poor Joann looks like a literal bomb went off:/ the manager said she has an insane amount of boxes of yarn shoved in the back they can't even get to ( i swear she said 20,000) my michaels is always understocked & hobby lobby is obviously focusing on decor and household crap. They forgot the "HOBBY" part of their name. I really wanted some of the winter yarn & more Christmas, but by the time it's unearthed at any of my local joanns, I'll have lost interest, as I'm sure most people will have. I cannot believe how some stores are just dropping their yarn departments. I have 3 Wal-Marts in my area and two of them don't carrier yarn and the third on is lucky to have one side of an aisle. And that one is by a Delweb community so the yarn is always empty. My Joanne's is nice. But sometimes the boxes take up the center aisles. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and yarn. ❤

I understand about how crowded those stores are. I use a cart when I can due to my feet and knees. At a store in Delware it was so crowded the cart hit a cart full of thread and things and I tipped that cart over. I felt so bad at the mess but they wouldn't let me help pick it up.
I was told by online associate that their in stock totals available are not accurate by two to three weeks so that explains why we order and don't get all of what we order😢
Overheard Joann employees say they got new owners who paid bills now getting merch in but no one to unpack and put out. Another thing is Christmas is 80% off and I wonder if some of the stuff coming in is Christmas that needs to be put out

Hi, it is frustrating that all the Big Box stores are cutting down on their yarn aisles. Sounds like your local store needs to be reported to the Fire Marshall, aisles not accessible is a safety hazard. I’ve taken to ordering online as it easier, but dislike things coming in multiple packages on different days. Happy New Year! 🎆🎊🧶🫂

The cranberry color is very similar to the Halloween yarn, it just doesn't have the extra colors of the winter yarn.
