I remember being amazed as to how Billie was when I listened her first interviews. What struck me most is how well put she was, so much maturity for such a young girl, something I haven't sometimes seen in artists in their 40's or even more. And there she was, talking about herself like she does in this interview, looking at herself from outside, acknowledging how lucky she is to have achieved what most artist can barely touch in terms of fame, career, opportunities, etc. Looking forward to seeing her develop as a human being. One cannot deny that her parents have a huge part on her being as cool as she is. She is cool because she is so grounded and that you can only get through being honest with yourself and recognising your own flaws. It takes time, in her case very little, and that's her gift.
Gotta say, seems like her older brother and guiding wisdom has really helped her. Its a big wake up call again when you are out of your 20's. I'm now 33 and looking back wow. I was still so adolescent.
I've worked tours where the artists combined the big stadium events with some smaller venues. I would love to see Billie and Finneas in a smaller, more intimate setting. The logistics of managing events like this is very challenging.
The thing about Billie and finneas getting so famous so young they are essentially growing up in this world that eventually by the time they are 50 they are going to be the prestige masters at what they do. (They already are)
i really want to point out that at 3:24 billie describes a feeling of drowning in a pool. in this small moment during the conversation she brings the attention toward herself, everyone is attentive to her words, & she conveys what she feels. this visual of her drowning in a pool isn’t just nothing, she visually expresses this in the music video of ‘never felt so alone’ with labrinth. she is characteristically a natural born artist & we see it unravel real-time & in these interviews. she’s fvcking great
All the young stars these days have OUTSTANDING Moms: Ariana has Joan, Taylor has Andrea, Charlie has Deborah, Billie has Maggie. They wouldn't be there without these supporting, warm, strong women.
