Tom. Excellent - as usual. The original owner of my XJ-S that you sorted drove it the other day - he couldn’t believe the handling, steering and braking - it was obviously in a sorry state for many years! Peter
Really interesting to see a deep dive into the cars. Your knowledge of every single part, the common problems, and suitable replacements is incredible.
Thanks,Tom. Your input on these machines is invaluable. In Brooklyn and the surrounding NYC area I've yet to find good Jaguar mechanic. So the information you share is applied and appreciated. Keep it coming. Cheers
Thoroughly enjoying your easy to understand & practical evaluation plus your entertaining manner. We lost drive in our 2000 XKR. It drives okay until you need to accelerate then nothing. My husband managed to restore drive by adding about 700cc of transmission fluid but that only lasted several drives before we again lost drive. Codes showed a mismatch between imput speed & output speed. Its currently with the local European auto transmission specialist. Fingers crossed it doesn't cost too much to remedy.
It looks interesting that car brings back memories working on these 20 yrs ago with you, Tom. Will you get Boy to do the work. Not that he will like me calling him boy. But as he was my apprentice, he will always be Boy to me 😂😂😂
Really useful video, I love how straight to the point you are and really easy to listen to. I bought one of these in about October last year and on December hit a pothole and ruined my wheel. I have the red alloy spare as you said because I have the r package brakes but it wouldn't fit at all. The bolt pattern seemed to be wrong so I could only line one maybe two studs up at a time. Any idea why this would be like that? I hope we see more of what you do to fix this car up in the future really enjoyed what you've done so far 👍
You say a pulley "remap", but is this not a case of fitting a smaller pulley (6 or 10%), larger intercooler/pump if you want, and that's it? I wasn't aware that the ECU was programmable/tuneable given its age?
I have a 2006 XKR convertible in pretty good condition, but it’s still a project. I daily drive it for most of the 6 months it’s not in storage (Chicago winters). I’m especially interested to see how the Brembo brakes are. I just replaced all the pads and flushed the fluid and it still feels spongy. It’s the first car I can’t get the brakes rock hard and I don’t know why. Any Hints? Love your channel and all the great work you’ve done for Harry and other RUclipsrs. I’m watching O&DR Modurol and his manual transmission swap, which I think originated right here over 10 years ago.
So enjoyable to watch, as Tom straight to the point.

this has quickly become one of my favorite channels. keep up the good work tom🔥
I agree
Taylors ability to turn a Lemon into Lemonade is only going to be outshone by Toms Revenge 😁😁👍👍

Absolutely fantastic info!! So much better informed now when I eventually go look for my XKR

After watching this, I'm so glad I had someone inspect mine before I bought it same age car.
Great video Tom & thanks for showing the details you have to put into it. It'll be fantastic once it's done.

Good man Tom and Co👌🏻
It would be incredible if you got the adaptive cruise working and made a quick demonstration of it.
Great video, thanks guys

Top class videos Tom keep them coming
Thanks, will do!
Nice One Type in the Reg number to Total Car Check and it will tell you if the car has been Exported

It’s the lines
Great video!
Thanks!
Do you sell the rear box delete kits? And do you send them to the Netherlands?
Can we see your Mk1 racer please Tom?
Plenty of RUclips content in that car👍
Would love a series on the XJ-S!
Thats a real pro 👍
another great video from the no nonsense man who described the tires on this car as " black, round and with tread on them"
Awesome
Is it for sale?
Yes! Check out our instagram page for more details!
There must be a hell of a lot wrong with this Jaaaaaaaag if it’s now a three part series😂😂😂😂😂😂
You poor bastards with the rust. An ancient memory in NZ thanks to modern protection and no salt.
Tom, can you imagine if you decided to make a video 'all good things with my cheap XKR'? That would be one short video with low content 🤣
Thanks for another vid, Tom. You definitely need your own series.
This is his own channel
This is his own channel
who did you buy that lemon 🍋 from hope you didn't pay more than £500 for it 🤣
FINALLY a grown up "sensible" video without those screaming PRATTS alex & co..😫😫😫😫😫😫
boring old fart cant comprehend mates having a good laugh
I like those screaming prats as they pretty much sum up 90% of us who pretend to know what we are talking about with cars
Jesus cheer up, they’re just having fun, and it’s not costing you anything.
I've stopped watching them tbh. It's worse than a class full of children on Red Bull. Nippy.
Stop crying 😂😂 only reason he is at this point is cos of auto alex 😂😂
Maybe camra man shouldn't say anything
Lots of hidden work on these XK's which rack up the costs of keeping them on the road.
Toms diagnosis its fucked lad 🤣🤣
