Mushtaco I believe he was on Chris Jericho's "Talk is Jericho" podcast a few months back, and held an hour long conversation while in his "Broken" character, Matt is truly magnificent at what he does.
I want to say this is one of the most professional fan interviewers I've seen in a long time and you do an excellent job of keeping with the kayfabe vibe of your interviewee! This is how wrestling interviews should be, where you can talk about shoot stuff and real life things but you still allow the wrestler to stay in character. 'Mean' Gene would be proud!
This just made my top interviews of all time list for a number of reasons. Firstly, hats off to you for interviewing him like you did and not trying to pry him out of his character. You allowed him to speak and act like he wanted to while still getting some decent answers from him. Secondly, Jesus Christmas do I love his dedication to this character. It's honestly impressive and im not sure many people could pull off something so over-the-top and still be taken seriously. Here's hoping he continues his broken brilliance regardless of the fate of TNA. Well done sir!
Literally all of his "great promos" have been worked shoots on Daniel Bryan, yeah it's entertaining to see a heel be like "haha you can't wrestle anymore" but anyone could do that, much like anyone could have cut CM Punk's pipebomb that everyone went mental over for no apparent reason when most of it is stuff Paul Heyman said about the company in his worked shoots on SmackDown and more famously ECW One Night Stand 2006, whereas playing a character like Broken Matt takes a certain level of charisma, I can definitely see influence from Ultimate Warrior but it is more focused and therefore much better of a character than Ultimate Warrior.
