- Maldives travel day from Dubai. We are sad to depart #Dubai but super excited to continue with our #Travelday to #Maldives for ours second time within a year to #youandmecocoon Our travel day starts of with us leaving our hotel room at 6 pm and waiting around until 23:15 for our transfer. Which we thought they would show up. We had a tad of a nightmare more eplained in the video. After arriving in the Maldives we waited for our seaplane in sunny Malé. We had some bad turbulence near our island of you and me cocoon and the weather gods were not on our side! Pouring with rain and a tad chilly form the wind and being wet of course! The rain still makes any island in the Maldives spectacular though!

👋🏼 Hello. to you all that have scrolled down this far on our description. We are James and Ellie and we are from the UK. Myself 🙋🏼♂️ and Ellie 🙋🏼♀️ both met each other in college where we both studied travel and tourism 🌍 back in 2009. We got married👰🏼♀️🤵🏼♂️ in Mauritius in 2018 and we have both been inseparable ever since! We are both like a jigsaw and we can quite happily say either of us are not complete without the other!
We decided to start our RUclips channel just before the pandemic started to bite around the world as we thought wed love to capture our memories as well as make informative honest videos about different resorts and hotels to help other travellers decide what might be right for them when booking their next trip abroad. We haven't looked back since and we have so much fun bringing our videos to life for you.

James was cracking us up about the massive bath! Sorry you had some troubles with your ride to the airport, but glad you got there in the end. I’d me freaking out at landing in the rain storm in a tiny plane! Can’t wait to see your bungalow it looks so cool!! 🥰
Haha I was cracking up as he lent back to wash his hair and then disappeared under the water 🤣 I shouldn’t laugh but his face when he came up for air was brilliant 🤣
It was quite a bad storm and the plane dropped about 30-40ft everyone screamed but me being the weirdo I (Ellie) am I loved it as I love turbulence haha 😆
We loved our room but sleeping the first night was interesting as you can hear the water beneath you!
I would do anything to be back in the Maldives. It’s such a special place. can’t wait for the rest of the vlogs

It was the best hotel/room have stayed at just wished we could have had a few more days there to have been able to enjoy it more but so grateful for the time we did have! Can’t beat pizza by the pool 😋

Loved watching this one guys!! Got us all excited to see the rest of the trip! So funny about the beetle, made us laugh how it made you jump! 😂 can’t believe about your transfer too, so so bad! Hope you got that refund as well!! It honestly does feel like the jackpot when no one is sat next to you on the plane, it’s so much more comfortable and can proper spread shout 🙌🏻🤣 As if it was pouring it down when you landed on the island too, it still looked so nice though! 🤩 can’t wait to see more of the island! 😍

Ohh I know who likes a stranger breathing down your neck on a plane 🤣 we always get the one who sleeps and doesn’t move the whole flight and then we feel bad for waking them up to go to the loo 🤣

What a great travel vlog! We didn’t get transfers turn up in Malta once and I had “that feeling ”it’s horrible isn’t it 😕When we phoned them it was their fault and they sent a whole bus storming out to get just the 2 of us to the airport 😱 And yes Ellie, totally agree ….when you don’t get someone sitting in that 3rd seat on the plane 🥳🥳 we went to Lanzarote last month and we’re very lucky both ways 😂😂
You just have that hunch don’t you! To be fair that’s the first ever time something like that has happened! Did you like Malta? I (Ellie) spent all of my childhood summer holidays there 🥰

@@JamesandElliesAdventures yes we enjoyed Malta a lot. Stayed in St. Paul’s Bay but did a lot of exploring of the island…..the bus service is amazing 🤩 Loved Valletta, like a different world altogether 🙂👍🏽

I think I’m going to be exactly the same as Ellie when we go to the Maldives in 19 days time!😁😁I really can’t get excited until we (hopefully) get our negative results back 🤞🤞it’s going to be very emotional and I know my husband will just look at me and shake his head 🤣😂
Haha I was a mess I was so happy and grateful to be in paradise again! Woah 19 days until you go not long now and not envious at all haha! It’s so stressful leading up to your trip, and waiting for the pcrs to come back is the worst part but also the best feeling in the world when they come back negative, got everything crossed for you 🤞🏼

So relieved we have no PCR! Like you said at the beginning of this series, you can’t get excited about your trip until after your results come back, we had that last November. So feel so lucky to not have that pressure this time! 🤗
We are doing Dubai and then the Maldives in May, how did you find the covid testing? ☺️
Covid testing in Dubai was so easy. The hotel Doctor came to our hotel room and tested us before we went onto the Maldives. They are so efficient in Dubai so it was a breeze :) Greta news that you don’t need tests to get into Dubai now too :)

Yeah it changed on the 26th Feb for fully vaccinated travellers no covid test is required. That was the worst bit for us we were so anxious waiting for our results to come back. It would be amazing if the Maldives done the same :)
