After Patti the road along the coast is boring, and I needed a couple of hours to walk around Messina.

good sicily landscape but they're no country road to messina? I love the first 20 minutes for all location and local town and also motorway some parts

There is, but we didn't have enough time to take it. Besides, after Patti it becomes flat and rather boring🇮🇹
