Nokia 5 Review: Beautiful Design, Reasonable Performance

Despite having a not so attractive hardware package, the Nokia 5 is still a pretty decent smartphone for the average user, however what makes this device difficult to recommend is its uncompetitive price tag, which many other phones offer much better performance hardware.

Thanks for this review. By far this is the most unbiased review. I don't understand why other review channels compare it with redmi or lenoovo. Nokia has it's own brand value and everyone knows about the build quality of their phones. For me higher specs doesn't mean better. Definitely doing to buy a nokia device ASAP.

Ye that's the point, great support has no value, it's something you know good brands do.
A balanced phone is miles better than a fast one with poor battery and poor quality.

mine is at about 50% in the evenening, so not bad at all. My lg zero would be out of power ba 4pm with same usage...

Me too. And it's awsome! No UI or Bloatware. Its a pure android experience. The battery is superb long last to use, and also the performance no lag. Touch screen is so smooth. Worth it !

Is it easy to use single handed or is it too big? I wanted a Nokia 3 because of its size but am concerned about that Mediatek performance, so now I'm looking at Nokia 5 but it's bigger.

I find using single handed to be possible, my hands are fairly small if you watched the video so it should fit most adult hands just fine.

Snapdragon 430 processor is where I stopped being interested... Just not good enough I'm afraid, nice build and design but otherwise it's a no. Nice review as per usual though!

To be honest the SD430 is a very decent processor in today's standards, at least much better than any entry-level or mid-range Mediatek processors, but its the RAM and storage that makes this device a shame.

Agreed, 2gb RAM just isn't enough for today standard anymore. Also, 16gb for RM799 phone...if add in the cost of a quality memory card, the whole price will be more unjustifiable.
