I recently was in Germany and got upgraded to an A6 Avant Diesel rental. On the de restricted sections of the autobahn I got up to 251 KPH and it was pretty stable at speed. I was pretty impressed. This racechip version with a different engine is probably much improved

The a6 Avant 3.0 tdi is in my opinioj the Best Autobahn car. It is very stable at 250 and as a Diesel the fuel consumption isnt That Bad.
with alls cars you can drive safely 250 kmh

I'd always recommend the bluetooth version because you get over the air updates. I installed my GTS Black on my MK8 GTI Clubsport and I had a turbo boost pressure sensor fault. Racechip sent an update which made it work perfectly! If i didn't have the app I'd have to have sent the box back to Race Chip!

Probably the best large estate/wagon currently out their, that race chip just unlocks it making it the perfect daily.

Ist rly depend on your usage, if pure Autobahn and long travel, Diesel does make sense since that where they belong. On other hand if mixing city and autobahn the hybrid one is much better overall.

I have the A3 2.0 Quattro in this same Scuba Blue. I’m not a blue guy but I LOVE this blue. I’m a huge Porsche guy and I’m seriously considering getting a new 911 painted in Scuba Blue. No doubt it would be 1 of 1.
I love this A6 Avant especially in this color and trim combination. Yes, some chrome especially on darker colored cars does look classy so I totally agree with you. On the instruments, I couldn't agree with you more! Why can't BMW stick with conventional round dials which work so well in other brands like Audi and Porsche. Great review and well done on the RaceChip upgrade too!

@@RadDadisRad tbh ev only range is around 30km for 330e so i would assume something very similar for this audi phev
@@zamarok266 I agree but what I’m talking about is the immediate torque that you can feel in first 0.1 second when you accelerate away. PHEV and EV even if they aren’t race car in performance the immediate thrust is very nice to escape through an active unprotected intersection.

This is nothing compared to the juicy ea839 V6 3.0TFSI. This V6 with a tune makes 430bhp/650nm with ease. The torque band is also strong over the whole rev range.
That race chip seems to have great power upgrade
I love this car. I remember visiting Düsseldorf from Spain Teo years ago and I was amazed, Germany has the best cars. Want to live there.

You should get a proper tune optimised for that specific engine. Every engine is a little different, it doesn’t mean if you make a stage 1 map for 1 car you should use it on all those same cars. This could be quite bad for your engine and really not a bang for the buck.
Every RaceChip has been specifically engineered for each engine model

You can't add up the horsepower figures because the peak power of the electric engine is on a different revolution speed than the gasoline engine. That means both engines don't have their peak power on the same revs
The v6 is the real S6, non of that diesel nonsense

Why? RaceChip sets them up specifically for every engine
@@Nordheide Racechip is a tuningbox, not a remap. A tuningbox is a plug-in device which effectively tricks the ECU into injecting more fuel without knowing it, Hence the engine gets more power. But a proper remap is where you read the contents of the engine's ECU and modify the parameters in order to get more power.
Even with the same exact engine models is there a possibility that the engines perform slightly different. This can have multiple causes but the thing I want to point out is that that’s the reason why you need a proper remap. Because they will optimise your tune on your performance results instead of your theoretical performance results. Tuning boxes are not bad but they miss some fine tuning.

Great Setup, but a station wagon with 400 litre Trunkspace is bad.
BMW really took the wrong path with the new Chinese generic vehicles like instrument cluster... absolutely horrible.. Modern audi´s still have good looking and is more cohesive, in my opinion.
Does it have real exhaust tips at the back? If not its obviously a dealbreaker right away for a lot of people

i definitely disagree, i have an audi a7 55tfsi v6 3.0 and the potential with that engine is insane. Along with that the v6 is straight from the audi s4/s5. way better than the ea888. its also faster in the 1/4 mile and 0-60mph (13.1 1/4 mile and 4.4 0-60 mph) for the v6!

@@osxyosemite7519 yep! its still stock and i will probably keep it stock until warranty runs out then I'm giving it the full beans (its pretty easy to get these 3.0 6T to around 500-580hp to the crank!
coming from someone who owned a 2016rs7 perf I much prefer the useability of the a7 55tfsi on road and the interior is insanely good!
