Just ordered one of these myself today. I play mainly in handheld and have been using the split pad pro for almost a year on my OLED and I like how everything looks tighter and has a true pro controller use to it with the rear buttons. The fact these have gyro and rumble are just extra added bonuses. Definitely looking forward to when it arrives.
@@RoXolid I like them because they are a good size for my large hands and much more comfortable than the joycons. I don't love them because of the lack of rumble. So I play with the kinvoca 3rs party joycons or I'll use a tablet holder / stand with a pro controller.
@@RoXolid yes, it works as intended, but I'm a little aggressive when pushing buttons on action games and platformers that i move my switch alot that it doesn't really make a stable experience, so I stick to using a little stand . But I do use it on simpler games like Tetris or something similar that doesn't require a whole lot of movement.

Is it bad that I hated Slippy and would sometimes shoot him down on purpose? Also I'd lock onto Falco and launch a bomb at him when he mouthed off. Peppy was the only one in the crew I actually liked. lol
Right there with you on Breath of the Wild. I played every LOZ game and have loved most of them. For whatever reason BOW just doesn't click with me. Super Metroid on the other hand, loved it. Picked it up on launch day and played until complete and it was amazing.
Another question, I am planning to get a portable screen monitor that connects with type C. Would this Dobe controller work if I connect c type cable to it, instead of directly to switch screen? Kinda already got used to bigger buttons of Dobe
I got the older version of this and sold it coz for some weird reason, my unit wont recognize wired connection.. And could have been better if you include some deadzone info.. 🤔
@@RoXolid You can check through analog calibration... My DOBE joysticks seems to be too inconsistent when it comes to deadzones... Most are good or manageable... but there are rare instances that are just unusable in some genres like shooting games.. Nice reviews anyway.. 👍👍
Can you please tell me if your switches battery life is much worse while using this? I'm looking for the best controller-like alternative. I've been looking into these "grip case" style ones like the one you reviewed in this video, and the "split pad pro" kind, including different brands of them, and the type. I just want something that feels good but doesn't drain my battery faster, possibly something that improves my battery if you know of anything.

Bro got this for me for Christmas along with the carrying case. Thiugh he accidently got me an extra controller as he didnt realize case came with the controller in it.,somi got two controllefs and carrying bag. This style controller is still my favorite controller for switch, though i had been wanting ntirodeck i been hearing mixed reviews about it and the dobe sems like it fit better for my hands and easied to get the swith out. I still wish they made the thumbsticks the same size so you i can put the spare tnumbstick with grips for left side on for the right side. i do agree about the dpad but after awhile you dont notice it. (Have another version that i got last year that basically the same as this and an eggshell version that i got this year. Though then eggshell dpad feels betterr but i dont like the joystick) i would love if they would combine this controller feafures of fhe eggshell and gen 2, i had a gen 2 nut hqd problems with it qnd sent it back. Eggshell i oike but i hqd get thimbsticks caps to make it feel better whe using it. Main issue for me for this controller was dpad which couldne les stiff andt the right thumbstick could use a better grip.

wow, really looking forward to trying this out, are the joysticks as good as split pad pro? if so, then it is a no brainer. literaly ALL of the other joy con options have issues with deadzones etc. so if this thing has accurate shooter quality sticks, then it is a game changer for switch owners.

This is pretty good if you want integrated Joy-Cons. I personally prefer the Skull&Co grips with the original Joy-Cons if I'm using a grip, otherwise the Fixture Gaming S2 with the Pro Controller

Me and bro still love these better than joycons, we do wish the dpad and the right thumbsticks would be improved but we dont mind. When we use this it kind of remind sus a little when we used to play on the wii u gamepad which we often used a lot if dont feel like turning on tv and just chill on bed ^^ Nexigo apparently has a generation 2 but they are selling like hot cakes and brothers old ovio one is acting up and he is hinting at me to get the generation 2 when i can. He going to have to wait.
It is in my opinion. You can ship large swaths of the game and still beat it, the world is beautiful but you have to walk all over the place to get anything done, I hated the crafting, to me this is Minecraft with a Zelda skin. But if you like it, line have a blast! It's legit one of my least favorite in the series
@@RoXolid You haven't played the game at all. The crafting is simple and there is barely any recollection, item management, survival mechanics or anything to do with Minecraft. The crafting is free form so you can use it to find your own solution for the short puzzles. Also, if you had played the game you would know how easy it is to get the batteries and craft the hover bike...but you walk...you...walk...bro you are full of it.

Does the switch oled do fast charge? I seen a handful of these third party accessories from complete housing to chargers brick made specific for the switch marketed as "fast charge". If I recall, fast charge is borderline meaningless for prior revisions.
So here's the thing, the Stock power supply techincally "Fast Charges", the fast charge claim is nothing special, and honestly I wouldn't recommend using anything outside of the OEM power supply from Nintendo
Absolutely BotW is a game I can never get into every time I tried. Or any 3D Zelda games for that matter. Love A Link to the Past and Link’s Awakening (remake) though.
The biggest set of games that I am not into the everyone seem to like an play is Mario Cart games all of the games I just see the games and just never have a desire to play them that is just me personally many people say that Mario Cart was better than Sonic Drift but never played Sonic Drift or Mario Cart but either way have no desire to play Mario Cart. Another game would be Mario Party I just do like playing mini games one two switch was the same with mini games just don't like them personally I would rather play a complete game than mini games.
Looks interesting enough but I have a gulikit powerbank that latches on the back of the switch and with this would be impossible for me to mount it. So that's a negative for me already.

I don't think that'll work. It would be like trying to play with the Joy Cons attached to the system while in docked mode, which doesn't work.

The D-pad is a deal breaker for me, but otherwise it looks like a reasonable alternative to the Split Pad Pro with more functionality.

Yes because it connects via the rails and not via Bluetooth
He ment it connects thru the usb C port. The rails are just plastic connectors to make it fit.
