😂😂 Blah blah. Let's be realistic. No one is saying that single-axis Trackers and panels are vulnerable to disasters (hurricane wind + hail) coming at the same time. Which damage will they choose at this point? What is it, thinkers, from Nextracker?
Trackers only carry light panels, already vulnerable to disasters, and to carry heavy modules according to the new bad climate, Trackers become unprofitable in cost.
Trackers in order to work effectively consume three times more areas, it is no coincidence that they are classified by Wp/kWh, not by (Wp/kWh/used expensive area), where they lose 30-50% compared to emerging stable technology.
Trackers require constant expensive maintenance and 24/7 monitoring to keep them from crashing.

Blah blah: sorry but you are wrong and misinformed on so many levels.
      1) On the extreme weather event, Nextracker has the best track record with zero catastrophic wind event globally, due to its robust weight-balanced patented architecture and over-rotation protection.
They also launched Hail Pro, a configuration with additional features helping asset owners against hail storms.
      2) Trackers can carry the best-in-class panels from most, if not all, manufacturers, including the latest large-format (=heavy) ~700W PV modules.
      3) Trackers only require an extra 20-40% more space compared to most agressive designs of fixed-tilt structures. Not sure where you are seeing 3 times, but you are super wrong there.
      4) Not sure what you are saying regarding the units: solar developers do projects on land that makes sense to buy/lease vs the amount of generation and therefore revenue that the project will create. If the land is too expensive, then no project happens, and this is true for any other endeavour.
With trackers, you get 20-30% more yield compared to fixed-tilt, allowing you to widen your solar daily generation curve in the mornings and evenings, for increased revenues.
      5) Nextracker’s tech, due to its weight-balanced patented architecture, doesn’t have big actuators which require a lot of maintenance, but very small ones with a design life of 30 years+ and which can be changed in seconds.
Nothing “crashes”, it just keeps tracking the sun throughout the day to make the most out of this opportunity: capturing the sun’s energy to power our lives.
      Cheers!

It will go in the same position for both events: maximum tilt angle (+60 or +75deg).
Please contact Nextracker to get their Safety Stowing document (PDM-000009 file).
      An extract regarding Hurricane Stowing:
"Using NX Navigator, the user can preemptively stow Horizon trackers into a defensive wind position for
the duration of a hurricane, cyclone, typhoon, or similar extreme wind event. The user can choose an
East or West stow direction so that the trackers will face into the approaching wind.
Hurricane Stowing places the tracker in the hard stop stow position at the maximum tilt angle. In this
position the contact with the bearing housing assembly (BHA) creates a torsional limiter, creating the
most stable position during extreme winds by preventing twisting of the tracker. After the extreme wind
event has passed, the user must manually clear the stow and return the trackers to Auto Tracking mode."
