For me the best part of that speech that Roy gave to Rebecca about how she deserves to be with someone that makes her feel like she got hit by "f**king lightning" was that he also said it front of Keeley. So, now Keeley knows that is how Roy feels around her, because they're together.
To me the best part of the Christmas episode is the huge turnaround for Higgins with the team. In the first episode, when he's down meeting them after practice, they treat him like he's not even there, and he mentions that usually only about 2 members of the team turn up for his party for ex-pats. Here, almost the entire team shows up. It's so good for him.
I like how Bumbercatch just sort of refuses description or categorization. You just occasionally learn something about him, but everything about him is weirdly specific, totally random, and doesn't connect in any way to everything else you know about him.
I don't know if I've ever found a moment funnier than when Phoebe blows her breath in Roy's face and you can just see him clenching his entire LIFE trying to not react to the stench hahahaha!
I never thought I'd be the guy who likes reaction videos. Watching you discover Ted is like sharing this discovery with a friend. You're adorable and these are really fun.
I have been watching and enjoying your reactions and I love how you were like "Roy Kent. Is this the guy I'm supposed to love?" And now you're totally on board.
My fav episode is Rainbow. Cry everytime. They set it up with Higgins describing how he met his wife and the meaning of the song, as happiness. Then Roy going towards his happiness as the song plays. It's fucking great.
The Christmas episode and another later this season (if you've seen it, you know which one) was added because Apple at first ordered 10 episodes this season, not 12. When they ordered two more, rather than risk stretching out the story they had planned, the writers did episodes that work more as standalones
No spoilers but I can’t wait to see your reaction to the future episodes. It’s a great show and great commentary. The last 3-4 of season 3 have floored me and made me cry in a good way
I love this show because it is so phenomenal and emotional. I love reactions because they allow me to re-experience these amazing emotional scenes again and again. Your reactions are always so authentic and heart-felt and I just wanted to say that I appreciate them so so much. Can’t wait for more!
I'm still extremely proud I guessed Sam/Rebecca very early season 2. I watched an interview with Hannah, where she talked about things being foreshadowed in season 1, and that Jason had told her to act certain way around certain people, which was setting up season 2 -- then I went back and watched all of Rebecca's scenes. Sam and Roy are the only ones who greet her in ep 2. Sam in ep 6 complimenting Rebecca while she thinks he's flirting. In episode 7, Sam takes Rebecca's jacket (really cutely!) when she's about to sing. In episode 10, Rebecca sits next to Sam and smiles at his 'be a goldfish' answer. This show is SO GOOD with foreshadowing. I highly recommend a rewatch once you're done. It's so worth it. Also yes Ted drinks a lot. In season 1-2, there's like three scenes where Ted COULD be drinking (evening, not at work, where alcohol is available) but isn't. At some point I did a count of all the alcohol units he's shown to drink during s1-2, and IT'S A LOT. I have more comments but I don't want to go near spoilers. But yes, it's worrying, and he definitely uses alcohol to deal with his anxiety. And yes I adore this show, in case that's not obvious.
There's a long tradition of british tv shows having special Christmas episodes, and this just fits in perfectly. I'm so enjoying your reactions. It's great to watch these amazing shows all over again with someone who enjoys it as much as you.
Yeah. He was trying to do like Christiano Ronaldo and it wasn’t working then he kicked like he would and it worked. I think he said it took him 5 times.
Great, heartfelt reaction. I have attended 1,770 Football matches mostly in London. Richmond is one of 32 London Boroughs and is very affluent in Outer South West London. These football clips are filmed at Crystal Palace Football Club in South East London, who will finish 12th in the World's greatest domestic league and a relegation costs $240,000,000 per season. There are 4 main English divisions and next week Coventry City have to win one more game to reach The Premier division and complete 3 Promotions from the lowest league where 5 years ago they were 20th/22 and on the verge of losing their league status. Miracles can happen:)
Regardless of who wins the playoff final it will cap a momentous story. Luton were on the brink after being relegated to non league and with one win would join Bournemouth, who sat alongside them at the bottom of league 2 with negative points, at the start of the 08/09 season. Football can really tell the greatest stories.
DAMN IT I NEED TO SEE YOUR REACTION TO THE NEXT EPISODE ... AND THEN THE ONES AFTER THAT! Great reactions and I love watching this season again right after watching the reactions to the first season so I can be reminded of all the callbacks we're seeing in the current and ... (chokes back tears) ... last season (imagine those last two words as if I said them with a sad quiver in my voice). Also, you absolutely need to see the film "Once". An independent Irish romance that's a musical, but not in the normal way. The two main characters are actual musicians so they sing and play together during the film. One of my absolute favorites and, based on your shirt, it might be one of yours. Okay, now I have to wait for the next "Firefly" episode to get me through to the next "Ted Lasso" episode; rinse & repeat.
This is an amazing series. Rewatching allows to catch on to something’s. It is always great seeing your reactions. Not how it is going to end but each season is one great ride.
Holy crap, I didn't know that there was a Christmas bonus episode, so I paused you and had to go watch it! And it took me a while to see "It's a Wonderful Life" as well. Great reactions to everything going on. I really don't want to say anything, but just will look forward to your reactions when things are revealed or happen.
Always has to be pointed out - Hannah Waddington is a West End star and, being the good actor that she is, she decided that even though she's a professional singer Rebecca isn't. So what you're hearing there is her deliberately singing much *worse* than she actually can. So imagine how good she *really* is.
I’m loving your reactions, one of the best I’ve seen. I’m also enjoying making little asides to your questions/observations as someone who knows what’s going to happen already.
I just want to say how much I've fallen for your channel. It has really helped me during a couple of rough couple of weeks at work listening to Ted Lasso and Firefly. Great stuff. Damn addictive and appreciate your comments. Looking forward to more. Cheers!
The "Mr Pufnstuf" reference is explained on this episode's trivia page on IMDB. RUclips would eat my comment alive, so I can't link it here, unfortunately. This show is pure delight.
Londoner Hack Wyld played the lead after his great success in "Oliver", a fantastic musical written by Lionel Bery adapting Charles Dicken's "Oliver Twist". He played "The Artful Dodger" but, sadly,in real life was addicted to cigarettes and developed throat cancer, and died young.
I've watched these Ted lasso reactions twice in the last week. Idk if I've ever seen a reaction channel more genuine and relatable and I wish I was your friend lmfao
Happy to see you being able to post reactions! Also I love how you use the term “Heel” for Jamie (I only see it in pro wrestling). Great comparison hearing Jamie as the Draymond of soccer 😂
you DEFINITELY need to see Once. It's a classic and I LOVE the music. Will have to mute a lot of it because it is an indie-rock musical type movie, but so good. I think you'd love it.
The two things with Nate are… 1). He’s new to coaching and is still shaking off being kitboy. Nate needs help to be a better coach. Jamie recognises he needs help to improve his game, so does Nate with his coaching, but the other coaches aren’t really giving it. 2). Sometimes he’s not getting the respect off his fellow coaches who sometimes treat him like he’s still kitboy. Your reacts really bring that across. Great editing.
"park the bus" is a figure of speech describing a super defense formation, where basically everyone on the team defends inside the own box to block out any chance of conceiving a goal and get a chance for a counter attack as it happened in the game against tottenham. means they are defending as if they parked their team bus in front of the goal :D dont know if needed but clarified anyway :D
I love your reactions, you make me want to sit down and watch them all over again. Just wait for those last couple of episodes. Can't wait for you to watch the final season!...hope you liked the biscuits with the boss!! :)
The goal Jamie scores in the FA Cup match vs Spurs is a recreation of a goal scored by Cristiano Ronaldo in a Champions League (the top teams from each domestic league in Europe plays in a tournament to be the champions of European club football during the time of their regular domestic seasons, so like playing in 2 leagues at once) match. Jamie even does the same taking a few steps back and dragging his foot motions. During filming they'd figured the actor (Phil Dunster) playing Jamie would try some kicks and they'd end up doing a CGI of the football flying through the air and into goal. Phil made the kick IRL. Brendan Hunt (aka Coach Beard, and also a writer/producer) immediately ran into Video Village to rewatch it. There was a video of it out on the interwebs, as I saw it, but now when I look I can't find it. They did their match day scenes at the grounds of what is basically a 'sandlot' club, so it looked loads different than the TV version where they CGI in the crowed and stadium. Still was cool to see Phil really make that kick.
They wrote the entire 2nd season, 10 episodes like the first, when Apple ordered two more episodes. That’s why we get the Christmas episode and the Beard episode.
Did you realise that Roy, Keeley and Phoebe's search for a dentist and the messages on the cards for Bernard are all a version taken from the film Love Actually, it was a homage, in fact there are lots of homage's to romantic comedies throughout the episodes, sometimes they are just very subtle.
'I love the Higgins so much' - think we all do! ♥ 'I think you might be dying' - 😃 ♥ all the Love Actually references! Instant holiday classic! ♥ Rom com-unism - LoL! 😃'Let's invade France' - LoL Keeley ♥ yay Coach Roy! 'Also just a boy...' 'You had me at Coach' - more Rom Com references! Don't ship Ted & Rebecca either! 'I love Coach Beard' - pretty popular opinion 'We apologize for the fruity sign language' 😃 Poor Ted! 😞
There aren't a great deal of women in senior positions in English football BUT one of the first hight profile one is Karen Brady who was chief exec at Birmingham City and is now chief exec at West Ham. At Birmingham she dated and then married one of the players so it's not unheard.
First of all your t-shirt is amazing love it. Second of all, I need to do some sit-ups and eat some lettuce. I had to pause Lil you say some funny s*** but that was the best line ever
It's not quite the same as an official release, BUT! They did post Hannah rehearsing for the final scene in the Christmas episode! ruclips.net/video/sc68kYdUH-k/видео.html
Also, if it helps, there is no good place to stop reacting this season. Last week, I was disappointed because the Christmas episode was next. This time you were disappointed because you had to stop with the reveal and Ted in the office. So just know that you made the strong choice to stop when you had to, because the temptation to just barrel on through is going to be strong. 😁
Wildly unfair disparagement of goat meat in this first episode here. I had goat a few times in Afghanistan and it's absolutely delicious. Think like beef with a little bit of a saltier finish 🤌
Irish I was a little bit taller, Irish I was a baller Irish I had a girl who looked good, I would call her Irish I had a rabbit in a hat with a bat And a six-four Impala
It’s a Wonderful Life is one of those movies that, the more you’ve gone through, the more it punches you in the gut. I thought it was so campy as a kid, and as an adult it makes me ugly cry every year.
Sit-ups and lettuce…too funny. Got a belly laugh from that one. No pun intended.. also, all stop Motion animation is not necessarily claymation. Most modern stop motion is just plasticine dolls, not Clay so technically, you’re right it’s not “claymation”. Although I suppose it’s possible, it could’ve been done with clay, but I highly doubt it. OMG watch it’s a wonderful life it is an absolutely awesome movie. If you love Christmas you’ll love that movie, I guarantee it.
Going back watching these episodes has me pick up on things that may have been planted after I saw someone’s prediction on how the show would end…that some things would end as we started the series
Watching you react and just look at them and know what is going on in them like (he has a crush on her), shows me how my Aspergers is affecting me, since I cannot see that, I need a lot more info to extract that info.
Have you not seen "A Christmas Story"? Add that to "It's a Wonderful Life". I've spent every episode of your show having an irrational anger at the fact that your Tetris sculpture has an intentional gap in it, and now I find out that they're moveable?!?!??!
the window table used to be for if a celebrity showed up , they would be in the front window so people could see and the restaurant gets a bit of notoriety , it might even make the paper : screen actor ( insert old timey celeb here ) seen dining last light at luigis fish and la chip emporium with his new squeeze and co star ( insert other old timey celeb here ) ,, this was more of a thing decades ago but

My favorite bit about Higgins' Xmas toast is that he listed all the actors actual hometowns
For me the best part of that speech that Roy gave to Rebecca about how she deserves to be with someone that makes her feel like she got hit by "f**king lightning" was that he also said it front of Keeley. So, now Keeley knows that is how Roy feels around her, because they're together.

"Park the bus (in front of goal)", means playing full defense and running out the clock.
I like how Bumbercatch just sort of refuses description or categorization. You just occasionally learn something about him, but everything about him is weirdly specific, totally random, and doesn't connect in any way to everything else you know about him.
If you watched Our Flag Means Death he reminds me of Roach
The newest episode you causally find out that he’s Swiss, and it’s just shrugged off instantly
I love him so much for that. I even order his jersey!

Feel exactly the same. I've watched the whole series 3 times and I feel like I'm watching it a 4th time while sharing with a friend. Odd huh?
I have been watching and enjoying your reactions and I love how you were like "Roy Kent. Is this the guy I'm supposed to love?" And now you're totally on board.

And whilst it’s bonkers I LOVE Beard after hours. It really shows how in life, we never know what other people are going through.
I love that you changed your tetris pieces! I spend an unfortunate amount of time each video thinking about how I'd move them around.
So glad I'm not the only!
The actors are all from the countries he named. That’s what makes that scene so special.

That long goal by Jamie Tartt was not done with CGI. The actor actually made that kick himself.

Its been years now, and I still find myself randomly singing the Jamie theme song.

the window table used to be for if a celebrity showed up , they would be in the front window so people could see and the restaurant gets a bit of notoriety , it might even make the paper : screen actor ( insert old timey celeb here ) seen dining last light at luigis fish and la chip emporium with his new squeeze and co star ( insert other old timey celeb here ) ,,
this was more of a thing decades ago but
There's a scene in season 3 where Roy explains how he'd deal with a bully. Let's just say Bernard gets off easy in the Xmas episode.
KFC has a hold on Japan where it's a tradition to eat fried chicken on Christmas. Good marketing
You can see my flat in the xmas episode, which i guess means my flat is kinda famous
Super cool!!!
@@funnylilgalreacts Great, heartfelt reaction.
Short girls are the best. 😊
