Sprayed wd 40 on my SD card and scrubbed with a toothbrush and made sure SD card was properly seated in it's tray and it worked all data in tack just wanted to share
Do you have to scrub it with a toothbrush?

I used duct tape instead. I didn't know the wd40 trick. .. Lg g4.
I put a strip of duct tape on the back of the cards and shoved more in, until it pressed hard enough on the sd contacts of the phone to see the card... Same fix on my moto g4 which would not read the sim.
I do wonder if the wd40 trick is permanent.
What else can I use instead of WD-40
I have a question please help. I have SD card and it's detected by my phone by it can't be detected on my TV (I'm using card reader and put my sd card in it) it's still not detecting my SD card, all the tools that I've used (two card reader) is working.
Help meeee I used to watch a movie in there and now it can't be detected, but before it's working good

Yesterday I decided to try this on my Huawei's NM card as a last resort attempt on fixing it, since my phone is too old to invest money on it on official repairs. So far it's been about 20 hours and everything is working. If/when something breaks down I will be sure to edit this comment.

Only do this if the problem is not with the card, and you can access it using a card reader on the computer.

my card is 6 months old. It still looks new. i'm just mad its not readable. It was working this morning. I left my phone on my dresser to cut the grass and paint the fence. When i came back insisde to my phone i've noticed my sd card stopped working?? Like it stopped reading entirely. I used my sd card reader and it didn't work either. Everything looked new. the thing is i didn't even used it at all. I find it strange it would just died on me. Its probably the sd card itself but what i should i do?

@@TechLifestyle thanks. Let me explain what happened to see if we’re on the same page: I put my card in my mac as I always do to transfer photos to Lightroom. Photos weren’t coming up so I took out the card and tried to put back in. After doing that, it didn’t pop up at all and when putting in my camera I get error message and also unable to format it in my camera. I’ve tried inserting it in different cameras and PCs but no luck. Do you have advice for this situation?
There's a small sliding switch at the left side of SD cards.. try changing its position?

I have 1 problematic SD Card. Not detectable from phone. Whereas another SD card has no issue and can be detected from the same phone.

You could try applying some on the card contacts, but the problem could be with the SD card.
