Hall is one of the best examples of how important a fighters mentality is. Ive seen him in so many fights where he just couldn't pull the trigger. The fight against lewis comes to mind. He only got going after his corner gave him motivation.

That sorry Adam was the start of his loss of his killer instinct. It’s when he started to think that maybe he is too dangerous, one step further and he’s dead. One or two big knockouts later and Uriah the future champion was replaced with a shadow of his former self.
His apology after the Anderson Silva fight really summarised Uriah for me personally. His movement is incredible if you know what you're looking at, and he has easily championship level striking. GSP never went out to hurt someone, he just wanted to beat them and luckily his skillset let him do that with jabs, wrestling and ground-and-pound. Hall's skillset is just brutal striking, but he doesn't seem to want to be a brutal guy and when he doesn't allow himself to do it mentally, he becomes passive and loses. The guy has to give himself mental ok to go full bore and then he gets these brutal KO's. I think he's more so trying to be like Khabib, GSP, Bones Jones, etc, and be cool, calm and collected, but would benefit from an attitude like Gaethje, Anthony Johnson, Paul Daley or any of the number of other guys that wouldn't think twice about sending someone to the hospital.
